"When are you coming?" I asked Chen through the phone.
"In a little bit, Don't wait up k?" He said.
"Arraso." I said about to hang up irritated.
"Oh wait! and Yura?" He said something before i hung up in him.
"Yes?" I answered through the phone.
"Shaved ice? or ice cream?" He chuckled.
"Hmmmm. Shaved ice." I smiled.
"Arraso, Bye!" He hung up quickly.
Babo. Tsk.
Yura is my name, Or what people call me. I just graduated highschool and honestly have no clue in what or where to go. I haven't planned anything for my future. nor do i even want to plan, it's such a pain. I'm 18 living under the roof in my own apartment due to my parents kicking me out when i used to live in Daegu, so i live here. In the big city lights and buildings, Seoul. I work in a 24'7 hour cafe as a part time job but manage to keep it well getting paid 30,000 won per hour. (30$ i believe). The workers there are more like a family then my own.
"YEOGI!" In front of my eyes seeing Red shaved ice in front of my face.
My eyes lit up taking the shaved ice from his hands.
"Not even a thank you?" Chen plopped down next to me.
"Thank youu~" I cooed at him focused on my shaved ice.
Chen, My best friend since i've moved here in Seoul. I love him, Of course. The typical tragic love story falling in love with your best friend. But turns out this "Love Story" was only a one sided love. Yes, He rejected me. But i soon got over it, I didn't want anything awkward between us and it worked. We're best friends again.
"So are you working tonight?" Chen asked looking at me from the side.
"Ne," I said staring at my shaved ice.
"You're walking home again?" He asked with a slight sound of worriedness.
"Ani." I lied.
"Why?? aren't you going to be working tonight?" I asked looking at him.
"Ani.. Is Kris taking you home?" He asked leaning towards me.
I backed up looking at him.
"Ne, He is. Stopped getting so worked up." I scoffed.
The thing about Chen is, He's very over protectivve over me and well. He doesn't like me walking alone at night. I always lie to him that i'm walking home and he never finds out. Except this one time he gave me a huge lecture about it as if i was his little sister. The reason why i don't ask Kris or any of the other workers is because i don't want to be such a bother.
"How come you aren't working today?" I asked trying to change the subject.
"Uhm well, Xiumin said it was going to be full today. So, There was no opens today." He said feeling unsure.
"I mean i guess. If you say so." I shrugged my shoulders getting up from the bench.
"Where are you going?" He asked getting up as well.
"Aren't we going to the movies?" I asked looking at him.
"ah! ne! haha Mianhae." he said rubbing the back of his neck.
Something seems, odd about him.
As we got to the movies, sat in our chairs Chen kept rubbing his hands together thinking to himself deeply.
"Are you okay?" I asked placing my hands on his.
"Ne, haha" He smiled looking at me.
"You seem off today, are you sure?" I asked leaning towards him.
"ShhhhShhh! the movie is starting." He pushed my head away with his hand.
"Tsk!" I hissed at him.
After the movies i had an hour left before my shift started at work,
"Wait for kris when your shift is over arrachi?" He said holding both my arms as i faced him.
"Arra Arra! Ka." I shooed him away.
He kissed me on the forehead saying goodbye which is what he normally does before he leaves me, I headed to my apartment 5 blocks away and bumped into a tall black figure. Getting up from the ground i turned around not giving eye contact and just a quick bow.
"Joesonghabnida." I said with that and left.
As i kept on walking i could feel the strangers presense looking at me and turned around quickly to see him gone. That was weird.
I got to my workplace with my suitable work outfit on and started my shift.
"Kris isn't here?" I asked Xiumin who was behind the counter.
"Ani, He called in sick today." He said with his eyes focused on the cash register.
"Looks like it's just me, you and Tao." Lay said coming out from the kitchen in his apron and a small rag in his right pocket.
"But- How come you guys said it was full tonight?" I asked Xiumin.
"We never said that." Xiumin said.
"Chen called in sick, Baekhyun and Chanyeol has an awards to go to, Suho has a docter's appointment, Today is Sehun and D.O's day off." He said looking at me.
"Chen called in sick today?" I asked confused.
"Yesssss. Now get to work." He said waving his hands for me to get along.
Why would chen call in sick? Why would he lie to me?
"You okay?" Lay asked handing me a circle tray.
I nodded my head Assuring him i was.
My shift ended and i gathered my things heading outside,
"You don't need a ride?" Lay asked from behind me.
"Ah, Ani! Xiumin said he'll drop me off." I said giving him a little bow.
"Are you sure?" He asked taking his keys out of his pockets.
"Ne, I'm sure." I smiled.
"Arraso." He said with that leaving to the back.
Checking if the sight was cleared i walked out the cafe heading down the street. The cold air brushing up agaisnt my skin causing me to have goose bumps raising along my arms, aigoo. i should've bought a jacket. The street light above me then turned off in a flash scaring me to death at that moment.
"What the hell?" I said to myself looking up.
"YURA!" I head chen's voice from a distance.
"Chen?" I looked behind me to see him running towards me.
"DONT LOOK INTO HIS-" I couldn't hear him clear enough.
"What?" I said with that and looked forward to meet a man who seemed to be in his twenties.
His pale skin and red eyes piercing through my soul. My breath went into a hitch as i tried to find my words but my body was frozen as if my muslces were told not to move.
"YURA!" i heard chen yelling my name.
"Chen.." I squeaked out his name.
The stranger leaned in closer to me face to face with our lips almost touching and smiled.
"you're perfect." He said with that planting his lips on mine.
My eyes widened but then felt a somewhat drug running through my system causing me to go in a numbness that roams throughout my body making my eyes slowly close.
"YURA!" I heard chen call my name one last time fading away.
