Candy Canes~ Todoroki x Reader

Part 3~ Christmas

You sat on the couch by Shoto, your fireplace lit and the lights on your Christmas tree twinkling brightly.

"Aw, Shoto, they are perfect!" You exclaimed, leaning in to kiss your husband. In your hands was a beautiful pair of boots that were striped like candy canes, the heels even resembling them. You enjoyed expanding your collection of holiday themed clothing and shoes, so any addition, especially when it was gifted from your husband, made you incredibly happy.

"I'm glad you like them baby." He said, watching as you carefully set them to the side like they were porcelain. You grabbed the small box sitting by you, handing it to him.

"Now, this one is for you!" You smiled. You got Shoto many gifts throughout the year, and he insisted that for Christmas you only got him one small thing. As much as it pained you to only get him one gift, you listened to his request. You stared at his face as he opened his gift, waiting for his reaction. You could see his eyes widen as the last bits of wrapping paper fell to the floor around him, revealing the item inside of the carefully wrapped gift. You smiled as his eyes explored his gift, admiring it. You had gotten him a small locket, shaped like a candy cane, on the end of a silver chain. Inside the locket was a cut out picture from your wedding, making tears prick the corners of Shoto's eyes.

"Do you like it?" You asked, trying to decipher if the water that was welling up in his eyes were tears of joy.

"It's perfect, thank you." He said quietly. He placed the locket carefully into the clear box you had placed it in and set it to the side. He pulled you into his lap and kissed your cheek, then the tip of your nose, then your lips.

"I love you, Y/N." He whispered.

"I love you too, Shoto." You said, smiling as you moved your head to rest it on his shoulder, your cheek resting on his chest. Small snowflakes came out of his hand as he raised it above you, making you a tiny snow storm. You giggled and caught a snowflake on your tongue like a little kid.

"Merry Christmas baby." Shoto said as he stopped your mini snow flurry and moved his hand to the small of your back. You smiled up at him and kissed his cheek.

"Merry Christmas, peppermint."
