Severus's POV:

Today is the first day of classes; Lucius and I have decided to give the boys a potion to shrink their bodies to the age of their headspace to make it easier for us to have them in class. If Narcissa has them, then they won't have their potions. Hadrian is going to be with me today, and Draco is going to be with Lucius. We decided that the boys would be with us for the first few days to get them accustomed to Hogwarts and ensure that Dumbledore didn't find out who Hadrian used to be. I put Hadrian's potion in his morning bottle, headed into the nursery attached to mine and Lucius's room, picked Hadrian up from the crib, brought him to the rocking chair, and put him into a feeding position. I gently rub the bottle's teat on his lips to encourage him to take it. Once he finishes the bottle, he begins to shrink. Once the potion takes effect, I bring him to the changing table, place him down, and remove his pajamas.

I untapped his nappy threw it away and wiped his private area. Once he is clean, I rub in rash cream and powder before taping up a new nappy. I then picked out a black onesie and pants with black socks and dressed him. Once he is dressed, I place a green dummy in his mouth and clip it onto his clothes. I pick him up, take him into the living room, and put him on his play mat for some tummy time. Soon, Lucius comes in with Draco, dressed for the day, still half asleep. He places him in his seat booster and gives him his breakfast of eggs and waffles with orange juice. I pick Hadrian up, take him into the kitchen, and place him in his highchair. I grab some purred strawberries and peaches and begin to feed him. Once both boys are provided, we each hold a baby bag, take them to our classrooms, and place them in our offices or behind our desks. I ensured Hadrian's portable cradle was set up with a soundproof ward. After placing the bags in our rooms, we head down to the great hall and sit at the head table. Minerva was excited to see Hadrian, as I had written to him about him and asked her to be his godmother. I handed Hadrian over while I ate my breakfast before Lucius grabbed him while Minerva and I handed out our house schedules for the semester.

Once breakfast was over, I bid farewell to my husband and Draco and headed to my classroom. Once I arrived, I swaddled Hadrian in his dark green blanket with his name written in silver. I placed a green hat on his head as it gets cold in the potion's classroom. I rocked Hadrian to sleep and put him in his cradle, placing a ward around him to alert me if he woke up.

He slept through my first classes and woke up during my second classes. I gave the class some work, picked Hadrian up, and took him into my office to see if he needed a change, and he did. I quickly changed him, fed him a bottle, placed him in his playpen, and placed some wards around him to keep him safe and alert me if anything happened. I then went back to teaching. Hadrian was perfect for the rest of the day, though he has always been an excellent little. Once all of my classes were done today, I returned to my chambers to give Hadrian his bath and a nutrition potion. While I was giving him his bath, Lucius also came in and placed Draco in the tub. Once both boys were washed and dressed, we put them in the living room—Hadrian was in his swing, and Draco was in front of his toys and telly.

I made a quick dinner for the boys; once we fed them, I gave Hadrian his bottle with a nutrition potion. The potion that we had passed the boys was beginning to wear off. Once he finished his bottle, I took him into the nursery, changed his nappy, swaddled him, and began to rock him to sleep. Once he was asleep, I placed a dummy into his mouth and put him in the crib. I also turned on his night light and put his teddy in the crib. I placed my usual wards and headed out of the nursery. I walked into Draco's room to see Lucius sitting in the rocking chair with a half-asleep Draco on his lap, reading a story. I closed the door and called Narcissa to watch the boys while we ate dinner in the great hall.

After dinner, we returned to our chambers, bid farewell to Narcissa, and checked on both boys. Hadrian was crying because he had wet his nappy. I quickly changed him, gave him another bottle, rocked him back to sleep, placed him in the crib, headed into my office, and attached him to the living room. I began working on the lesson plan for tomorrow for each year. After checking on Draco, Lucius came in and began working on his lesson plans. We talked about how the days went with the boys and with our classes. After a few hours of working, I checked on Slytherin's house to ensure that the first years weren't overly stressful and were transit to school and classes. I also reinforced the house rules and confirmed that all students knew they could always talk to Lucius or me.

Once I checked on Slytherin's house, I returned to my chambers to see Lucius in bed with Hadrian on his chest, back to his average size. "Why is our son on your chest, love?" I question. "He woke up crying; I think he had a nightmare about those muggles that abused him. He wouldn't stop crying until I lay me on my chest, where he could hear my heart." Lucius responded; I nodded and got ready for bed. Once glad, I picked Hadrian up, placed him in the bassinet, got into bed, and went to sleep, knowing that my boys were safe and loved.
