Severus's POV:

The boys have adjusted well to the routine and atmosphere of Hogwarts. I'm surprised that we have not encountered any problems with the boys and the students. Most of the students are amazed that we have such young kids due to the potions that we give the boys when they are going to be with us in class, and it shows that we have hearts. Dumbledore starts to get suspicious because Harry Potter did not show up on the platform for Ronald Weasley to find. Lucius and I had kept Hadrian safe from Dumbledore by not letting him get a good look at Hadrian and telling him that Hadrian was so sick when he was born that we feared he would not make it. I know he will eventually find out, but we have been working with Tom to make it seem that the Dursleys killed Harry Potter in a rage.

Tom has also been working behind the scenes to take over the ministry and ensure no wizard or witch is abused in the muggle world. Once it began to snow, Lucius and I decided to let Hadrian and Draco play in the snow. Or more of Hadrian being held and Draco playing with Lucius. I can't wait for Hadrian's first Christmas with us- his first Christmas. In two days, the student body and professors who go home for the holidays will be going home. I usually stay at Hogwarts, but I am going home this year because we want the boys to enjoy the holidays and learn more about their families.

"Have you considered not returning to school next year?" Lucius questioned as he walked over. "I have not considered it. It will depend on how Dumbledore acts the rest of the year. I worry that he is getting close to figuring out who Hadrian used to be," I respond. I know that Lucius means well. If we did not return to Hogwarts next year to teach, we could devote all our time to our boys and ensure Hadrian and Draco are safe for the "Light Side." I turn and watch as Draco is making a snow angel; I smile. "I'm going to take Hadrian in. He is getting sleepy and hungry, as it is getting close to his nap time," I say to Lucius as I get up and head towards the castle and our chamber. As I get close to the dungeons, I run into Dumbledore; great luck. "Ah, Severus, my boy, how are you?" he asks.

(AN: Bold = Dumbledore)

"Good headmaster. I am taking little Hadrian in from the cold."

"Ah, this is the infamous Hadrian I have heard so much about."

"Yes, I would stay and talk, but it is getting close to his nap time, and I don't want a fussy baby."

"Of course. I do hope to meet him after the Holidays."

I don't respond but walk away and towards my chamber quickly. Once I enter my chambers, I remove Hadrian's swaddle and thick layers. I then lay him on his mat to play with his toys while I make his bottle. Once his bottle is made, I pick him up, sit on the couch, and feed him. I rub his cheek and notice that he is a little warm. I hope he was warm from the layers he had on and is not getting a cold. Once he finishes his bottle, I quickly burp him, take him into the nursery, change his nappy, place a dummy into his mouth, and lay him down. Once he is asleep, I leave the nursery and head into the kitchen to make a snack for Draco and a sippy cup of warm milk for when he comes in.

Not long after I finished his snack, Lucius and Draco came in. I placed Draco's snack and sippy cup in front of him and went to talk to Lucius about Dumbledore. Once Draco finished his snack, I picked him up, took him into his room, and got him ready for his nap, as he was half asleep. Once he was down, I returned to the living room and told Lucius, "I don't think I will come back to teach next year as I fear Dumbledore is getting close to figuring out our secret." Lucius agreed, and we started to plan to move into Slytherin Castle permanently for its powerful wards.

Soon, I heard Hadrian crying, and I got to get him. He has only gotten hotter; our baby boy is coming down with his first cold since we adopted him. I tell Lucius that I am taking Hadrian to Poppy to find out if he only has a cold or if it is something more serious. Poppy says it is Dragon Pox and it would be best to take Hadrian home earlier. I told Lucius we needed to go home and that I had already got Minerva and Hagrid to cover our classes for the rest of the semester.

Once we got home, I quickly took Hadrian to his nursery, lay him in his crib, and rubbed in a cream that would keep him too itchy. After a few days, his fever had not gone, so I took him to St. Mungos to see if it was Dragon Pox or something else. The doctor said he just had a severe case of Dragon Pox and would be fine in a few weeks. Once we get home, I tell Lucius what the doctor said, and I quickly send an owl to Hogwarts to tell them we won't be back until Hadrian is better.

After a few weeks, Hadrian is getting better, but he is frail. All he does is eat and sleep; I worry that if we go back to school, then he will get worse. I decided to return to teaching when Hadrian was better.
