The crazy writer

There once was a lonely girl called Isabela, who's hobby was to write story's and publish them online in her free time. She thinks that she does it to escape reality since it's cruel and stressful, but she actually does it because she wants to escape from herself and herself alone. Not from her depression, not from her sadness, but from her madness.

Isabela fears and wants to ignore every part of herself to not be reminded of what she once wanted to do, or rather; what she did. She is so scared of herself that she hides it under a mask. A mask that no one can see through. A mask that never breaks. And when she feels like she loses control over it, she isolates herself from everyone and everything around her. She shuts everything out of her world and begins to write.

That is how it all started.

Isabela had her phase again, couldn't control it, isolated herself in her room and begun to write, like she always did. Nothing was out of the ordinary, at least from her perspective, nothing until she snaped. She didn't know what triggered it, but she had snaped.

Isabela had realized something and that realization brough out that one part of her that she always tried to hide, tried to ignore.

"At that time, I realized what power I had as a writer and, of course, I used it to the fullest."

Isabela begun to write without ever stopping. She wasn't writing to escape herself anymore, but to entertain herself with her newfound power as an author. She wrote book after book, novel series after novel series and couldn't stop anymore.

Isabela wasn't going out of her room, if she wasn't hungry or didn't have to use the bathroom. She was making her family worry, since they didn't get to talk to her. They didn't know what kept her in her room all the time and wanted to ask, but they never got the chance to, not even when Isabela left her room once in a while.  The family was lucky, the teenager granted them her presents at the dinner table, even though she was ignoring them and instead wrote ideas down on how to continue her stories.

Isabela felt so powerful, ever since she started writing with that newfound ideal and amusement. She created new worlds in every book, that the hero team had to save – but none of her books ever got a good ending.

Isabela let her characters suffer to no end in a world that was always deemed to have no future. She was cruel to her characters and tortured her readers with her bewitching good and well written stories.

"Back then, I didn't know, that every story, every book I wrote became reality."

Every time, an Autor publishes a book, that book becomes an own universe in which the plot becomes fate.

Since Isabela wrote many books and novels, she created many, many different universes that were fated to have an end to their world.

Someone had to stop her, and who would be better suited other than her own characters in her own novels?

Her little sister was the only one, who seemed to realize that. Her sister was also the only one which knew what her older sibling was doing in her room all day and all night.

Isabela's little sisters name, was Fiola. Fiola was Isabela's most trusted. Isabela once hinted about her fear and Fiola caught on. When asked she even told Fiola how she is dealing with her ever growing fear.

Ever since then Fiola had been a loyal reader of her big sisters' books. That is why she instantly knew what was going on when Isabela closed herself of from the world. She noticed the change in writing style and the growing terror and suffering the characters had to endure.

Before her break down, Isabela always tried to give her books good ending and mostly wrote romance novels with much fluff and wholesomeness.

She changed genres and instead of romance novels, she started writing action, horror and thriller mixed with science fiction. Instead of the kindness the characters always received from others, they begun to betray and back stab each other. They tortured and killed each other off and the worlds become darker and more depressing with each chapter you read.

Isabela had a messed-up mind, but writing it down and publishing it through interesting books, where the characters grew insane and mental also brought stress and depression to the readers. This darkness was so well described and put into words that the readers were forced to feel whatever the characters felt. While many quite reading her books others couldn't lay the books away and read on hoping for a good ending they never got.

That is why the god of their world decided to contacted Fiola and explained to her, what her bigger sister was actually creating with her books. God told her to write a story of her own - it would be an alternative universe in which she could change her sisters' fate.

And so, Fiola also begun writing her own book and published it - but unfinished. She wrote about her sisters' book characters. About how they transferred into their world to speak her sister out of her madness.

But they were never willing to help their creator. After all, it was her that destroyed their home, their lives, their world. They would never help someone like Isabela, who only brought hell onto them.

Instead, they wanted revenge. And revenge they got.

Well, sort off.

Isabela gets killed by her own characters and dies a human, to reincarnate as a god off her many worlds.

"The life of the world is the god's lifespan."

Would Isabela have written stories about how the hero's save the world from its ending, then she would have had a long, long live as a god. But since she had created more worlds with bad endings than good, she will have a short life as a god.

The last book Isabela begun to write, was still unfinished, so it would be her last world she would ever create and publish before dying for real.

Even if she would realize what she was doing, was considered as wrong and evil, she would have never stopped. The only thing that may have stopped her from killing off that last world would be regret. Regret was the only thing Isabela feared equally to her own madness.

If she doesn't regret her mistakes, she will enjoy this to the fullest until her final breath, until her real death. She would die happily.

And that's what I did.

I watched my last world burn and shatter into countless pieces which fade into the abyss with a smile on my face as I close my eyes. The feeling of accomplishment and relieve washes over me and let the darkness take over me.
