Lexis Brooks

Lifting my hands up for stylist to put the dress on me.She shimmies the dress down my body,I hope it doesn't tear when Im moving.Looking in the mirror, I check my self out.

The dress really complaints my figure especially being a plus size, my hand glides over my stomach to make sure it looks flat. A habit picked up since I started acting. Still looking over my body in the mirror to point out any mistakes.

"FIVE MORE MINUTES TILL GO TIME PEOPLE" my publicist yells out, pulling me out my thoughts.

I step down from the platform and start to look for my shoes. Nina my hair dresser and best friend hands it to me quickly. While touching up my hair, someone grabs the shoes out my hand and bends down to put it on me.

Getting surrounded by people wanting to help me can get exhausted but its their job and its for me.

Nina comes to my line of view with a bright smile on her face.

"Girl you don't even look good, you look stunning" She says eyeing me up and down.

I blush from her compliment ,"Thank you baby" I respond.

"You look great Lexis but it's time to go"My publicist says from behind me making me look back.

I smile and nod at Grace, she's been with me since I was 16. She's great but sometimes I love her then sometimes I want to run away from her.

Walking onto the path away being greeted with flashing lights, a smile forms on my face.I wave and walk onto the red carpet. Stoping I pose and smile, paparazzi shout my name to look in their direction.

I begin to walk again and smile and wave a few more times until I get to the interview part.

Ray Silva one of the most famous talkshow person calls my name out walking over to her, I smile and greet her.

"Lady's and Gents we have one of the best Oscars winning actress Lexis Brooks, here today with all her beauty and grace". She introduce me to the people at home, I chuckle a bit.

"Thank you Silva, you are too kind to me"I say trying to return the kindness.

"Anything for you my love but Lexis the people want to know are you contributing to the charity from your heart or did they just ask you to come present an award",She asks a question I was never expecting.

A little shocked from the question but my smile still on my face I replay with my most honest answer."I have been donating to this charity for many years now just never told anyone because it wasn't for fame it was for the people in need.Everything I do is from my heart, to the people I help all the way to the roles I play". I reply to her question the best I could, lets hope I choose the right words.

"Well people you heard it from her its all for the people"She says turning to the camera.

"It was a pleasure having you Lexis, thank you"She says looking at me,I replied the thanks and walked away.

Finally entering the event, already filled with people walking around with drinks in their hands and talking to each other. It looks like they already started, my assistant Cara leads us to our table.Their people already sitting there, it looks like a family. I never seen them before.

I smile and wave at them, while pulling out my seat.

"Good evening, Im Ethan Monclair and my wife Anna Monclair".An older looking man speaks looking directly into my eyes.

Monclair? Like the multi-billon company Monclair.

"Good evening sir,Im Lexis Brooks nice to meet you"I respond with all due respect, these people come from old money.
