Tsukasa's POV

"Such Hubris, for a common imposter. WE cannot save human-kind, you fool..."

"You perceive your own powerlessness to change man's fate... And yet, still struggle to save someone or something. Just like Blumheart and myself... Yours are the eyes of a foolish imposter..."

"YOU KNOW ALL OF THIS, DO YOU?!"

I shifted uncomfortably in my spot and silently groaned, trying my best to ignore it.

"And yet again, by trying to save even more of them, it slips away. But then... you suspect that there must be another way~ You still wish to cling to equality? To suffer in pursuit of that absurd ideal? All while knowing what people are truly capable of?!"

I shot my eyes open before I sat up straight and found myself in my office chair alone, awake before running my fingers through my hair. The sun's still up and the morning birds have flew passed from my afternoon window. I let out an exhausted sigh and hold the bridge of my nose take a few deep breaths to forget all about this blathering nightmare.

Then it slowly hit me. The project meeting. It totally slipped off my mind after that supposed-to-be quick nap. I immediately fixed my suit and the documents from my desk before heading of to the meeting room.

I then bumped into Lord Jaccoi on the way and he seemed surprised to see me. "Jaccoi-san, shouldn't you be with Elk-san at this moment?" I reminded, startling him a little after he got threatened by the Higher Sorcerers for putting a fouls play.

"N-Nice bumping into you as well. Elk-kun wanted me to grab the documentary of our monthly incomes and profit. That kid really knows business better than I do"

"Both have good individuals specialties, but took a toll on one's teamwork. You both are equal to your positions, so no one's better or worse" I clarified, making him groan and was near to kneeling if I didn't stop him.

"What in the-"

"You always know the right words I wanna hear, Tsukasa-san. You're a master in flattery. How can I ever repay your kindness for saving me from prosecution?~" he thanked me, nearly almost kicking him by accident when he was about to kiss my shoes.

"You can start by not making a scene here" I sweat dropped in embarrassment as a few side glance from the maids behind either of us. Ever since that time I save him from getting executed by the Higher Ranks for sabotaging Dormundt's image and reputation on other kingdoms, he had gotten conscious about his attitude on others. If it wasn't for me promising that this secret was between us and never said a word to his partners and business employees with Elk , he still had his guard up and more over time, it almost got me stuck in a complete humiliation.

"Oh of course-My apologies!"

"Goodness me... Where's Mayor Hizlad? Why didn't he wake me up at this hour? Did I failed to mention it to him?" I asked, gazing back to him.

"Y-You were finally resting in your office for the first time, he can't help it-I, alone, cannot disturb an angel's alone time either. I might get cursed to an early trip in hell if I did" he defended himself before I apologize and excused myself.
