7:23am (or 1:23am)

"Amane."

"Oi, Amane, wake up."

"Wake up."

Amane blearily opened her eyes to see Killua standing over her, waving his hands over her face.

"Finally, you're awake. I've been trying to wake you up for like 15 minutes," said Killua, who was already dressed.

Amane blinked few times before taking out her phone to check the time.

"Eh!? Why the hell did you wake me up at 1 am??"

"Cause, our train is about to arrive in about 7 minutes," replied Killua, stifling a yawn, "Also, your phone time is incorrect, we're in another area now. It's 7:23 AM wherever we are right now."

"Oh.. then I'd better change it." Amane opened up her phone to change the settings, but her screen turned black and the battery sign appeared.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I'm out of battery!" she wailed, dropping her head back onto her pillow like a lifeless corpse. "I can't go on anymore, Killua... go without me..."

"Pfft-.."

Killua raised a hand over his mouth as he stifled his laughter, but quickly composed himself. "I thought you were gonna become a hunter."

Amane sat up from her pillow and put her phone back on the nightstand. "Actually, I don't really care about becoming a hunter or not. I just thought the exam might be fun, so I came to try."

Actually, that's not true. I still need to crush those damned Zoldycks. she thought, completely oblivious to the fact that a Zoldyck was standing right in front of her.

"Seriously? I came here for the same reason," replied Killua, who was now sitting on the side of Amane's bed. "I guess we're pretty alike."

"That's such a coincidence! Don't tell me you're also from a clan of professional assassins?" joked Amane, clearly not expecting him to be.

Killua paused for a moment, looking at Amane with confusion in his eyes. "What the heck!? I am!"

"Seriously!? That's insane!"

Somehow, even with all of this assassin talk, neither of them realized that the other belonged to the clan rivaling their own.

Suddenly an announcement rang throughout the train, catching them off guard.

*Ding, dong!*

"All remaining participants please come to the front of the train to disembark, as we have now arrived at our destination."

"Crap! I haven't even got ready yet!" cried Amane, who jumped out of her bed and hurriedly began peeling off her pajamas.

"Wh--!" spluttered Killua, covering his eyes and looking away with his face a bright shade of fire engine red, "I'm still here!"

"So? It's not like you're gonna do anything," replied Amane, as if she thought this was normal. Amane pulled on her tanktop and jumped into her shorts. She hurriedly put on her socks, and stepped into her shoes.

"A-Are you done yet?" asked a flustered Killua, who was now facing the wall.

"Yep!" answered Amane, strapping on her dagger-bag. "Let's go!"

Killua let out a breath that he didn't even know he was holding in, and turned around, only to see that Amane was already gone.

"Last one there is a rotten egg!"

"That's not fair!" shouted Killua, who raced out of the compartment to follow her, "Also, you forgot your phone!"
