The feeling after a good fight, post-fight adrenaline, never seem to get old to me, the cheers, the fans, and hell even the smell had my heart racing.
Straight out of college, I was noticed by a very well known agent in the fighting industry, it took the people awhile to warm up to me, but when they did my fan base blew up.
My name was on t-shirts, my pictures were in magazines, my interviews were on TV, and I'm verified on Twitter. But with fame came patience, there isn't a time now that I can go out and no one know who I am, I am constantly stopped on the streets or somewhere else by a fan wanting a picture or an autograph of some sort.
I became used to this lifestyle and have adjusted well, but Brittany on the other hand as not. We could be out having a nice time laughing and joking, but the moment I am approached by a fan and my attention divides, she shuts down and is quieter than she was when she was mute. Add on the fact that she is pregnant and hormonal, she complain about anything and everything.
Her attitude has caused a huge rift in our relationship
I knew being in a relationship with an athlete was going to be complicated, but I didn't know it would be this hard.
Being in a relationship, you have to learn how to compromise and give somethings up.
After I became pregnant, I had to give up my training and training other people, I switched it out for teaching yoga and office work. I expected Taylen to do the same, I simply asked if he could maybe take at least one day off a week, he told me he would see what he could do. Now I understand that he wants to be at his best and live up to his potential, but when I am alone 90% of the time it becomes annoying.
You would think being a semi famous person's Significant other would be fun, your name on TV, your pictures in the magazines, paparazzi gathered outside of your home, not being able to even make a run to the store without it taking an hour.
Sounds fun right?
Nope.
His fame has caused a large rift in our relationship.
We fight
We argue
We yell and we scream
But at the end of the day,
We love.
