The days past by in a blur, the further I got into my pregnancy the crankier I felt.

Taylen's fight is today and it kills me that I won't be right by his side during the biggest fight of his career.

It was probably for the best since I was 28 weeks along and hating it.

Constant trips to the bathroom, lower back pain from hell, swollen ankles, and a bloated belly; I just wanted to get this over with.

I sat in the office, my hand absentmindedly rubbing my stomach.

Alyssa, Chloe and Claire were ready to leave the gym to go to the stadium and they all looked at me with matching pitying looks.

"We could totally ditch the match and go to your appointment with you." Alyssa said.

"No, Taylen needs all the support he can get tonight. I'll be fine, Rachel and mom will be there with me."

"We'll keep you posted, it'll be like you're actually there." Claire says half heartedly.

"Hey guys, leaving in five." Lauren says sliding in the room.

They all take turns hugging me before walking out of the door.

I struggle to push myself up and walk to the open door where Taylen slid his hoodie over his head and shook his head furiously.

He looks back at me with a smile on his face.

'I love you' he signs.

'Love you' I sign back.

I blow him a kiss and he pretends to catch it before placing it on his heart.

He raises his other hand and clutched between his fingers was his inhaler.

Gage reaches out and escorts Taylen out of the gym with a sweeping motion.

As everyone leaves, I gather my things and grab the keys to lock up.

"You ready sweetie?" Rachel asked in the doorway.

"Yeah, I'm ready." I sigh.

I plugged in my headphones and blocked out all the talk in the car.

My finger lingered on my pre-fight playlist but in the end I settled for Beethoven instead. I missed Brittany and her bright presence and encouraging words.

I let Beethoven carry me all the way to the stadium, when we entered I bounced around on the balls of my feet and listened to Gage talk.

We got the two minute warning, and I pulled out my inhaler.

"You don't need that." Gage says reaching for my inhaler.

Before he reached it, I put it in my mouth and pumped it, "too late."

The gates opened up and we all walked out towards the ring.

"Is the fight on?" I asked forcing my eyes open.

"Just started, and you need to put on that mask young lady." Rachel replied as she flicked on the Television.

I glanced at the oxygen mask in vain

I expected it to be a normal check up but my mom blabbed about the breathing issues I've been experiencing lately and the doctor decided to keep me for the night to monitor it to make sure it's just abnormal occurrence and not something more serious.
