Chapter 0: Begining

 If you are reading this, I am either dead, or have gone into hiding.

My name is, or was, Jack Smith. I was a second year high school student.  I was nothing special.  Average grades, no girlfriend. I was what you would call a geek, or a shut in.  You could tell just by looking at me that I hated people.  The few friends I had would tell you I was a dark, pessimistic person.  I really didn't care what others thought about me.  The only thing I was interested in was video games, and that interest alone is what got me into this mess.

 It was Christmas, the middle of my sophomore year.  My parents usually don't get me anything, so I didn't bother to ask.  My brother has always been the spoiled one.  To my surprise, there was one gift for me.  It was small, wrapped in a smooth black paper.  I immediately opened it.  Inside was a small, black CD.

 "What's that?" asked my mom in a confused and disgusted voice.  "We didn't buy you anything."

 Confused, I replied, "I don't know, it was just there."

 "Well whatever it is, toss it"

 I should have listened to her.  Instead, I took it into my room and put it in my computer to see what it was.  Almost immediately after putting it in, the screen went black.  A few seconds later, a text box appeared on the screen:

Please Enter Name:__________________________

I figured it was some sort of chat box, so i entered the name of one of my favorite youtubers.

Please Enter Name: MAV

I pushed enter, and the screen went black once again.  I waited for a couple minutes, but nothing happend.  I tried to exit out, but it wouldn't let me.  Suddenly, the screen turned white and a logo appeared.

Fascinated, I pushed enter.  Pain.  Nothing but pain.  It felt like a dagger ripping through my body.  I screamed.  Then, I blacked out.
