Chapter 5: WAR

Saint showed me around.  The base was huge, taking up a little more than half the planet, which was more of a moon than anything.  

 "And that's the end of it."  She said as we neared the place we began, "All of it built, and owned by my alliance."

 "Impressive." I said, "I'm a little overwhelmed."

Before she could reply, a young man ran up.  He was about my height, with short, brown hair.  He was very, very energetic.

 "Saint!" He shouted. "You're back!"

 "That I am, how are you?" she replied.

 "Good, who's this?" He said smiling.

 "My name's Mav, nice to meet you."  I said, sticking out my hand.

He shook it and said, "Nice to meet you too, my names Tazer."

 "I'm going to go check in," Said Saint, "Show him to his room."

 "Yes ma'am!" He replied. "Follow me."

I followed him to my quarters.

 "Here's where you will be staying, have a good day."  He said, smiling.

 "Take care!" I replied.

The room was small, and the only thing inside was a bed.  I decided to try and get some sleep, but before I could an alarm blazed throughout the entire base.

WARNING: ENEMY ATTACK

GO TO YOUR DESIGNATED BATTLE STATIONS

I started to panic.  I had no Idea what was going on. The door to my room opened.

"Mav!" Yelled Tazer, "Saint needs to see you!"

I followed him towards the meeting room.  People all around me were boarding ships or turrets.  Everyone seemed fine, I was like I was the only one out of place.  They didn't seem scared or anything. I guess they were used to attacks.

 "Mav, sit down." Said Saint as I walked in.  

 "What's going on?" I asked.

 "Those guys we escaped from followed us," she said, "Plus there's more bad news."

 "What could be worse?" I said, dismayed.

 "Their ship.... is a planet destroyer."
