Scorpius' POV:
A letter came through the door today when I was eating breakfast. Dad and Father wasn't downstairs so I went looking for them. "Dad? Father? Where are you two?" I shouted. I didn't get a reply so i went back to open the letter on my own to find Lily standing there with it in her hand. "Lily that's mine give it back!" I said reaching for it but she moved away. "To Mr Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy. How fancy of them using your full name like that!" Lily laughed.
"Give it back!" I shouted and chased her around until she bumped into Father. "Sorry Father, but I have something for Scorpius but I don't think he should go this year, it's not fair I want to!" Lily moaned. "Sweetie, give your brother his Hogwarts letter, you go next year and it is fair before you start arguing with me. I swear your just like your dad!" Draco said taking the letter from her. "Ha Lily!" I shouted. "Don't do that Scorpius, your just like your father!" Harry said coming up behind me and hugging father.
"Ok well, I'm opening my letter so, bye!" I said and started walking away until I pulled back. "Oh no you don't, your opening here we want to see what you will need this year! It is your first year after all!" Dad said. "Ok!" I said sitting on the couch, the rest soon followed. "I opened it and began to read the list. "I need: My uniform, Wand, Cauldron, Telescope, Brass Scales, Standard Book of Spells, History of magic, Magical Theory A beginners guide to transfiguration- wait does that mean I'll have Professor Mcgonagall?" I said. "Probably, tell her I say hi and tell Neville I say hi because I already know that he's teaching you he told me." Dad said smiling. He was so happy but so was father! "Okay let me continue, i also need: One thousand magical herbs and fungi, Magical Drafts and Potions, Fantastic beasts and where to find them and finally The dark forces a guide to self protection!" I said, "Are you sure that we can get all this? Where are we getting the money from?" I asked and showed Dad my letter because he was trying to look over at it.

"We definitely will be able to don't worry and Harry and I have some money still left in Gringotts Bank, don't we!" Father said looking at Dad who clearly wasn't paying attention. "Har. "Well, I was thinking an owl, i'll try get a black or brown one with a bit of white and name it Otus because it's a nice name!" I said. "I think you should calm it something else, when I get an owl i'm naming it Merlin or Foxy! Depends on the gender, i hope it's a girl though so I can call it Foxy!" Lily said sticking her tongue out at me. I stuck mine out too and Father said, "Both of you put those tongues back in before I pull them out!" "How very Slytherin of you!" Dad said. Me and Lily both started laughing.
