Kevin's P.O.V

After packing all the things, I needed inside of a black bag, which wasn't much, just some clothes to wear, swimwear, and my journal, where I wrote my personal thoughts and sometimes drew pictures.

I was now headed to the meeting place where the acceptance letter for the show I auditioned for told me to meet.

I was standing there wearing a black jacket over a red and white shirt with gray pants and matching grey tennis shoes as I was waiting to be picked up by the boat that would take me to the resort. I would be standing on with the rest of the contestants.

As I was looking, trying to spot the boat that was taking forever to get here to pick me up from the dock. A few minutes I saw a yacht driving toward the seaport. A large dark skin man wearing a chef's hat stuck his head out from the helm.

"Kevin!" The man called out in a gruff voice.

I nodded in response to his question, and the guy jerked his head toward the boat.

"Get on in," He ordered.

I did and told and got into the boat as we took off. The man didn't attempt to speak to me again, and I didn't engage as I took out an old iPod given to me by one of my closest friends from school and put the headphones in my ears.

I peacefully listened to the music playing as I watched the port vanish from the horizon until only the ocean remained. Ready for summer on the show to begin.

•••••

The beaming ray of the sun shone against my pale skin, with my long blonde hair blowing in the breeze of the wind as the boat sailed across the water. I was leaning against the railing of the exquisite ship as my eyes wandered around, looking for the resort I was staying at, tapping my left foot on the ground, and beginning to feel impatient.

'Seriously, how much longer. I have never been a fan of waiting to arrive at my destination. It's so annoying.' I thought, narrowing my olive-green eyes as I spotted the resort nowhere in sight.

I was roughly snapped out of my thoughts as the boat released a blare from the horn, signaling that the ship had finally arrived. I took out the headphones and placed the iPod into the side pocket of my bag as I picked it up from the floor.

"About time," I whispered as I put the bag strap across my shoulder as the voice of Chris, the show's host, was heard as I arrived.

"And here, our second most attractive-looking guy, Kevin!" Chris announced.

My hair falls into my face as I step off the boat, and my eyes wander around the place, seeing how crappy it looks compared to the picture on the brochure and letter I was given.

I then glanced at Chris with annoyance written in my eyes."Are you serious? We're staying here at this dump. My bedroom is better than this pace, and want to you mean second attractive-looking guy?"

"Well, there, you and Justin, and by the way, we chose you for your looks and that personality," Chris replied.

"Whatever you say," I replied and walked over to the other contestants.

I quickly scan some of the constants here. There was a goth girl, an athlete, a punk with too many piercings, two blondes, and a tan guy with very good looks, who I guess must be Justin. My eyes then landed on a girl with long black hair wearing sunglasses.

"Hey," I greeted her with a flashing smile as I walked toward her.

"Ugh," She groaned, rolling her eyes at me as she turned away.

'She a feisty one, that for sure.' I thought, looking at the girl next to me with a small smile.

"So, what's your name?" I asked as my warm breath hit her neck as. I saw her shiver slightly.

"Heather," She replied, pulling down her sunglasses and looking at me.

"Heather, nice," I said.

"Whatever," She muttered, pushing me away from her.

As I started to zone out as I sent Heather one more smile. I couldn't help but think to myself about how beautiful she was, especially when I got a glance at her eyes without the sunglasses. I was then pulled out of my thoughts as an orange hair arrived and fell out of her boat, hitting her chin on the dock. A brown hair girl then runs over and helps her up.

I rolled my eyes slightly at the orange hair girl, who seemed a bit nuts in the head as she laughed after hitting her chin on the dock like it was fun. Soon as she finally settled down, loud rock music could be heard playing.

I then turn my attention to see a tall and slim boy with a cream skin tone, wavy black hair with white highlights, and dark silver eyes. He wore a red shoulder pad shirt with a high-collar white shirt underneath. He also had on long black pants and grey tennis shoes.

I narrowed my eyes as I felt like something about this guy was familiar.

"Now here are rocker Jaden!" Chris announced, making my eyes widen.

"Jaden," I gasped.

"Well, if it isn't Kev," Jaden smirked, glancing over at me.

"Seems we have two contestants here with a rivalry. Now before you two go at it. We need a group photo for the promos. Everyone to the end of the dock," Chris said.

We all went to stand t the end of the dock organization was the shortest in the front, while the tallest was in the back. I was more toward the middle row since I wasn't the tallest but definitely not the shortest either.

"Okay, one, two, three, oops, forgot the lens cap. Hold that pose one, two, oh no, wait, memory cards full," Chris said, making me roll my eyes in annoyance.

"Come on; my face is starting to freeze," A large girl said.

"Got it!" Chris said."Okay, everyone, say Wawanakwa!" He said as he took the picture.

As soon as everyone of us said Wawanakwa, the docks completely gave up from under us, dropping everyone into the water."Okay, guys, dry off and meet at the campfire pit in ten!" Chris announced.
