FREEDOM IS A CRUEL THING. it tappers with fate and faith, a spine on the verge of breaking because it can't uphold it's body. it's what makes life so destructively beautiful and what makes hope a creature that feeds on people, a shadow latching on as a spineless fool.
freedom is what fuels hope— how faith is a ghost's igniter. ALOYSIA thinks hope is the downfall for humanity; and perhaps it is. but if she were to search for freedom in dying stars and grassy fields, she'd find nothing.
"there is no hope." she whispers it as if it's a prayer to set her belief in. hope has betrayed her family, humanity, and herself. so how can she blindly trust it again? how can she become the bitter coward that the shadow with a little spine is?
faith is one thing, but hope is another.
oh but how ironic, isn't it? that a child starved from credence joins people who are hungry for freedom. a heart beats and bruises, veins pulse golden blood, yet she is lifeless, a brittle corpse.
so dear child of blood and bones, of gold and ink, you will have to find yourself in the waiting hands of freedom.
and in the waning wings of hope.

o3; WARNINGS — there will be gore, character death(s), childhood trauma/trauma in general, ptsd, anxiety, family issues, vulgar swearing, angst, fluff for brief moments, and everything turning to shit real fast.
o4; SLOW UPDATES because i suck at writing on a schedule since i have to be in a mood for it, and since my style shifts and is detailed, it takes longer to write and the motivation to do so. bare with me on that one. i'll be honest, i'm really bad at updating. one, because i forget about wattpad. and two, i fall in the "fuck my writing isn't good" rabbit hole so end up not writing for ages and suddenly out of the blue a chapter gets whipped outta no where.
o5; A HEADS UP that this is an experimental fic (as all my other ones are cuz that's what wattpad is for me), so i will be exploring a lot of different things per usual, and exploring my writing style. i've just been dying to write a aot fanfic because the brainrot is taking over, but i actually want it to be interesting to the readers, so hopefully my brain comes up with concepts that make your toes curl and shit your pants in excitement; that is my goal.
