"Order: get out" Soundwave spoke with a sternness in his voice, his foot tapping growing more impatient. He wasn't in the mood for one of his minicons games. After not getting a response, Soundwave looked around. He was in one of the storage rooms of the Nemesis, over in the corner a bit where the supposed "minicon in question" was. They were hidden in-between two storage units which covered a vent in the side of the wall, meaning that he couldn't just go and grab them out. Next to Soundwave was Ravage, who sniffed the area.
"I don't recognize them" Ravage alerted to Soundwave though their bond. Soundwave couldn't pick up their signature either, odd. They were either being a very mischievous minicon, or it was an intruder. Soundwave hoped the ladder.
"Could you pull them out?" soundwave said aloud over to Ravage, partially as a threat to whoever was hiding. Ravage shook their head. Soundwave let out an exasperated sigh "let's go". He took Ravage over behind another stack of storage units, obviously he wasn't actually leaving the room, he was going to wait for whoever was hiding to come out.
Soundwave didn't have to wait long, as he heard the quiet shuffling of steps and staggered breathing. Soundwave, carefully snuck over. Their footsteps were quiet, as if the intruder was much smaller. "I can take them" Soundwave thought. After a few more steps Soundwave snuck up behind the bot. "Halt" he ordered as he grabbed the bot's arm, yanking them backwards.
Except it wasn't a bot...
It was actually a small human child he grabbed onto
It snapped its head and shrieked when it saw him. The noise was like having a EMP grenade go off and stunted him briefly, causing his grip to loosen and the child to run, thankfully Ravage was nearby and stopped the human from getting any farther.
It however, tripped. Knocking into a few, thankfully empty storage units. Soundwave, after getting over its "stun", walked over to it. They had stopped screaming, but were shaking uncontrollably. Soundwave didn't want to hurt them. clearly it was just some dumb kid that got on board the Nemesis by accident...somehow...
He got onto one knee, reaching around similar height to the child. With one servo, he lifted the child's chin up, to stare at them. They were scrawny, stick-like, but not malnourished or sickly. They wore a green sweater with varying darkly colored stripes and had reddish, curly short hair. Soundwave sub-consciously took a picture of the human before finally asking a question.
" Query: why are you here?" his voice was on the quieter side with a calm undertone, the mech didn't want to make the kid needlessly scared, other Decepticons could do that for him.
"I... I- I don't know!" They stammered out, voice trembling. " I just...I just followed my cousin's friends here!"
The last part made a part of Soundwaves internal frame lurch. "There's others, on this ship?" Soundwave asked with a bit more urgency. The kid nodded; Soundwave worried whose this kid's "friends" could be. Soundwave went immediately to contact Megatron about the possible trespassers on their servos, however the commlink wasn't working. "Probably form the screaming from earlier" soundwave hoped. He got up, realizing that he was going to have to walk by foot in order to alert anyone.
Soundwave immediately picked up the child and carried it in-between his hip and arm. The child made a small "Eep!" sound while being picked up. Soundwave and Ravage then got out of the storage room and ran through the halls, child in tow. The lights of the hallway began to flicker before finally shutting off and getting replaced with a red alarm.
something had already activated the alarms, and the only way to active those alarms were to have gun fire go off...
autobots...
Changing course, Soundwave tried to listen for where the fight was, a loud explosion shot off a few halls away giving away the position. He immediately ran, holding the child tightly as to not let them slip. After getting to the area Soundwave couldn't tell what was happening, smoke filled the place, with the occasional Lazer being shot though.
"Jazz, we gotta get out of here!" one voice spoke, Soundwave recognized it as Bulkhead.
"Ratchet i need a groundbridge, stat!". The smoke began to clear a bit just as the groundbridge appeared, shaking the area around. Most of the other drones by this point were either offline or running for it, leaving Soundwave alone. Not that anyone could tell he was, thanks to the smoke.
"W-wait! I'm sti-" the mech covered the child's mouth, not wanting to alert the Autobots while he was still enveloped by the smoke. Someone's blue optics caught a glimpse of them before finally.
Silence...
The space was quiet, the smoke had by this point, almost completely faded away. Soundwave could finally think clearly. For a moment Soundwave took in the sight. It was practically deserted say for some off-lined drones. Ravage went up to him and nudged his leg. Soundwave looked down, realizing that they were pointing towards the child.
They had to hide. Soundwave rushed back, though empty halls over into his berth room. he locked the door shut with a keycode and took a moment to vent. wingthing and squawktalk, two minicons of his, perked their heads up from their recharge and began to fly over to him, making small chirps. Soundwave looked up at them and slowly put the child down on the floor where they sat in a criss-cross.
"They left the human behind..." Ravage flicked their tail at the human child, who didn't seem to process what happened, just yet.
"I'm ... aware..." Soundwave drew out his arm, letting the two minicons land on it before sitting back down on the ground next to the human child.
"Should we alert anyone?" Ravage asked.
Soundwave thought about it for a moment, before finally answering.
"No... don't tell anyone about the human child." Ravage nodded and paced back over to their own smaller berth, laying down in it. Soundwave let the two minicons on his arm fly off before looking back at the human. It was quiet and had its knees hooked up to its face where tears began to spill out. He snapped his fingers to get its attention.
" You will be staying here, understand?" the child nodded its head slowly, wiping the tears out of its eyes.
"Do not leave this room" his voice was stern and serious, the child again nodded. After receiving the response, Soundwave walked over to his desktop and took a large cleaning cloth and gave it to the child. The youth took it and wrapped itself around in the cloth. Soundwave then went to his berth and recharged.
He was going to handle this issue later.

so uh... hi! this is my second time writing a transformers fic so bear with me here. i'll try to put these at the end of chapters for comments and such. also, to note : im not going to strictly follow any continuity in particular, its mostly a mash-up of bits and stuff (because i dont really wanna follow a strict continuity).
also um... updates might be slow...
