"GET. THE. ENERGON. AND GO, WE DON'T HAVE ALL NIGHT." Jazz mimed the Decepticon grunt, smirking in response to the many audible groans afterward. Jazz had a generally good view of the area from the tree line. It was pitch black, no moon in sight, meaning that his job was going to be a lot easier....

Jazz danced from tree to tree, his leaps were quick and balanced as he lurked closer to the small Decepticon operation, his optics fixed on the plentiful cubes of Energon strewn about like a child's plaything, a rush-job so to speak. The trees would sway slightly as the wind picked up. Not wanting to risk a tree snapping, Jazz snaked onto the ground, without so much as a thump.

On the ground the sight was even more hap-hazard, as the crates seemed like an endless maze of corridors, the disorganization and lack of care showing through the craftsmanship, or rather.... Lack thereof.

Jazz had his stealth mod's running on, not full blast per se, just quiet enough in order to sneak around without the risk of getting caught. Memorizing the layout, the Saboteur whisked past sluggish and unwary Decepticons and valuable, open cubes of Energon. Jazz considered taking a few back for the base, but decided against it, he was too noble for that kind of thievery.

Plus, he was here for...different means...

Amongst the crowd, Jazz wondered if he would see a certain blue cassette tape around, but... as much fun as it would be to run into his favorite beau, at last, Jazz was left with the familiar, empty feeling. Regardless, he continued his dance among the night.

"Operation's not big 'nough anyway..." Jazz thought silently to himself, but such words did little to comfort him. Jazz shook off the feeling, he needed to focus! Not get all schmaltzy over past feelings. Jazz snapped his head around at the oncoming sound of a few 'con's crackling voice boxes. He sat and waited a few before rearing his helm out.

He didn't notice it before, but... there was a power station dangerously close by the operation. Too close. "They musta been using the energy to power this 'hole gig '' Jazz thought, dumbfounded. "Those human power bills must be sky-high!" Jazz shook his head, baffled by how they had open cubes of Energon near a human POWER STATION, of all things...

All it took was one loose spark and....

Jazz hid behind another few containers as some brutish 'con tossed over another cube, nearly spilling the contents. From his hiding spot he could faintly hear a conversation going by. Jazz tuned his antennae over to listen into the sound.

"What. do. You. mean there's been an uptick in price?" a grainy, almost husky voice spoke.

"Look pal, I'm not sure if your auditory systems are broken or what, but we aint trading unless we get paid extra, now is that clear?" mercenaries? Was this a trade? Jazz tuned in more.

"This whole transaction goes through me, and me only, do i make myself clear?" the grain began to crackle as it went down a few octaves, Jazz recognized the voice as being Soundblaster's, that much could be distinguished. There was a pause, then the faint but recognizable sound of an unstable shoulder-cannon powering up. Was that screw-head going to blast the bot? Does he know what's going to happen if one of these cubes-

"Fine, take your fraggin scrap and leave" the cannon died down, much to Jazz's relief, but he could only wonder: if this was a trade, and the Decepticons were trading this much Energon...

What were they exactly trading? Jazz needed to find out. With a heavy heart, and a quick sigh, he slithered out of his hiding place and followed Soundblaster. Jazz followed with caution, if Soundblaster was here, then he could easily assume that Shockwave was also here too. And sure enough, Jazz was proven right as Soundblaster walked over to Shockwave, bringing what at first glance, seemed to be a containment chamber.

Opening the chamber revealed a decahedron, with old Iacon symbols carved into it. It was ornate in its presentation as Shockwave carefully took the object. The scientist traced along the ancient writing with a digit, the device emitting a faint, iridescent, shimmer. The shimmer continued to glow as the device awakened to life, its form becoming unstable as it began to reconfigure itself over and over, being taken apart and put back together as though it was trying to fix itself, perfecting its form.

"Thank you, Soundblaster. You may pack up, we have secured the Relic, I shall report to Megatron our findings." This was all Jazz needed to hear as slow realization creeped up on him.

This was an Iacon relic, what in the all-spark were they doing with an Iacon relic?

Taking a mental picture of the object for later use, Jazz hurried, he wanted, no, needed to leave now. I... I have to get back to the base... I have to tell Optimus and... and Ratchet and-. Jazz needed to focus on getting out, he could figure out how to tell the base later. Jazz paused, seeing how Energon cubes were being loaded up into the mercenary ship at an alarming rate, forcing him to redirect his route...towards the power plant.

It was risky, but it's worth a shot.

Carefully, Jazz ducked into the power station, the crackling sound of electricity, as well as the blinding lights should keep him hidden while he escaped. The monochromatic colors of his armor blended seamlessly into the station, each buzz and flicker was perfectly synced with his pede-step, all Jazz had to do was keep his head down, stay calm and get out. Jazz was careful to slip between the electrical towers, each one crackled with a shocking energy.

But...of course, Jazz didn't go completely undetected...

The mech snapped his head back upon hearing the heavy, limping stomps of someone else, Soundblaster, of course...

"Now.... looke what we have 'ere... little mech late to the party?" Soundblaster taunted, taking a tentative step forward, an unspoken threat towards Jazz. "Now... you know that ya have to have an invitation to the party, right?" if Jazz could see Soundblasters mouth under his faceplate, he would be smirking.

Jazz indulged Soundblaster, twirling around over to meet him. "Sorry bud, musta.. Forgotten my invitation...".

"Sorry, but trespassers..." Soundblaster began to charge up his shoulder cannon, as it began to whirl to life. "Are killed on sight."

Jazz instinctively dodged the beam, which ended up hitting a tower behind him, nearly knocking off the supports. "HEY!" Jazz shouted, he was about to get real constructive with this bot. "Cowboy, look around, don't go shooting that scrap around or else you'll get us both offlined" Jazz gestured to the tower behind him, as it creaked from its weakened supports. "If that all that Energon you got goes into contact with the fire, you could kill us and hundreds in the area."

"Oh... the noble Autobot, always thinking about others before them..." Soundblaster chuckled as he loaded another shot."to bad.." as Soundblaster charged up, Jazz whipped his blaster out and shot the mech in the visor, throwing him off for a bit. "ARH! Skywarp, now!" Jazz didn't even get a chance to react as the seeker teleported behind him, knocking him to the ground.

Jazz shot out his grappling hook as the seeker flew up, catching onto them. With a sudden jolt of adrenaline, Jazz tugged, hard, on the hook, ripping Skywarp out of the sky.

Skywarp was smart, using this to his advantage and slamming into Jazz, knocking him into another electrical tower. The crackling electricity stung as he felt it course though him. Skywarp landed a little ways off to the side, a little out of breath from how hard he hit.

"You're out of your lane, racecar..." Soundblaster cackled as he aimed his shoulder cannon.

Not that Jazz would give up so easily.

With renewed determination, Jazz grabbed the seeker, tossing them over at Soundblaster, who fell back into the electrical tower. That knock was all it needed before it landed, falling backwards and coming into contact with the dry grass, erupting into flames.

Jazz paused a click, looking over. No Energon in sight, looks like they got it all packed up, good. He didn't bother to check in on the two screw-heads, the Decepticons had medics that could patch them up anyway, speaking of which, Jazz needed repairs...

Jazz called up Ratchet over the intercom, the doc picked up. "Hey Doc, I'm gonna need a few repairs, send a ground bridge up, will ya?"
