The door opened quietly and a tall man with blue hair and a beard walked in, he cleared his throat and stepped into the living room. "Hey Larry hey sal, and hey stranger" the tall man said. Travis stood up "I'm Travis" he held his hand up to shake the man's "nice to meet you Travis, I'm Sals dad" He smiled and shook his hand before exiting the room to his own.

The boys in the living room kept talking and telling jokes, night time soon came. "Alright I'mma head out" Larry said as he got up off the floor, "okay see you!" Larry left the two alone together on the couch. "Wanna go finish the project?" Sal spoke "sure"

We walked to the bedroom, I kept thinking to myself. I feel like Travis is trust worthy, but I'm not sure. We'll soon find out. Travis and I began working, about ten minutes in my face was starting to hurt. "Travis, if I take my mask off can I trust you not to stare and laugh. Or tell anyone..? " Travis looked at me surprised and nodded quickly. I un classped my mask and took it off, I took my hair down as well so I don't look.. That weird. "Wow" he spoke, he looked mesmerised.

I feel so happy that he's able to trust me with this, his scars are so mesmerising to look at, its beautiful. I caught myself staring and immediately looked down at our project, I felt my face heat up almost instantly. I started writing stuff down until I felt a warm embrace, sal was hugging me. "Thank you, for not laughing.. " I hugged him back happily, I haven't had a hug this comforting in a long time, I might have been 6 the last time. It was nice, I hugged him back slightly tighter then him. I knew he could tell something was wrong when I did that, because he then grabbed my face gently and gave me a soft smile.

Travis seems to have changed a lot, he's not making fun of me or calling me names, he hugged me back. But I think something was wrong. When I put my hands on his face he started crying without realizing, "Travis, tell me the truth and nothing but the truth. Does your dad hit you?" He looked down and clutched his pants tightly before speaking up with tears rolling down his cheeks "yes, sal I need help.. I can't go back there or he's going to kill me please sal don't make me leave..!"
"Shh Travis it's okay, we can go get your stuff tonight and I'll come with you so nothing happens. It's only 7pm" I got up and put my mask on.

TIME SKIP

We soon got to the Phelps home, Travis was fumbling with his keys visibly shaking. Once the door was open we were greeted with a tall man with blond hair, Travises father. I stood by Travis as he took of his shoes off. The glare from his father was intense, it sent shivers down my spine. He was visibly angry and ready to strike Travis at any moment. Travis went up to his room while I stayed with his dad, "it's not Halloween why are you wearing that 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 on your face" I was uncomfortable at this point, "it's a prosthetic.. " "I'm sure" he said back in a snarky rude tone. Travis came down stairs with a duffle bag full of clothing and his father looked even more pissed. "The fuck do you think your going boy" Travis jump slightly to the sound of his father's tone "I'm l-leaving" he said putting his shoes on

"No, your not." He replied, Travis was already half way out the door the time he replied. "Bye asshole" I said before running out the door dragging Travis with me. "Haha you called him an asshole! "
