8. Unwanted betrayal (S1 E7)

When the ship entered hyperspace you contacted Cid, she gave the crew a sort off comm device to contact her if something went wrong.
And something went wrong so you and the crew gathered around the hologram of Cid.
WHAT? So its destroyed? My client isn't going to be happy you know. But now your already in that area why dont you do another mission?

You had to capture a lizard like creature from a group of people who stole it, easy enough right?
The mission on the planet was easy enough but when the ship was exiting the planet a group of droid ships started attacking the ship.

Hunter ran to the canon immediately, shooting down the ships left and right.
The ships where still wining ground what concerned you.

How much longer until we can jump into hyperspace Tech? Hunter asked Tech.
That depends on when Echo plans on getting the drive online, Tech answers frustrated.
I'm working on it! You heard an even more irritated Echo say.

You walk back to Omega and Wrecker, seeing them strap in as you do as well.
Wrecker was strapping in a cage, with a small creature in. I dont think Ruby likes it very much.
Omega says, looking at the creature.

You named that thing? Wrecker asks Omega. What's with these guys, Wrecker says.
He was talking about the droid ships. Well, we did steal from them, Omega says.
Technically the Rhokai stole the lizard first. We where merely intercepting.
They don't see it that way, Hunter answered

Then you see Ruby falling in her cage, making it fall open. Ruby started to crawl on Wrecker,
making Wrecker scream. GET IT OFF ME! GET IT OF! He got out of his seat and tried to get the lizard of his head while walking.

You had to laugh while Omega tried to help. Stay calm! Your scaring her! Omega says to Wrecker.
When you had your fun you use to force to make Ruby float in mid-air and get her back in her cage.

Couldn't have done that earlier? Wrecker asks. Hmm, probably, you answer with a big grin.
Hyperdrive's online! Echo yells through the whole ship. You are relieved when you see the beautiful blue stripes engulfing the ship.

When you got at Cid's café she started inspecting the cage with the lizard.
That is one strange looking lizard, Cid says. What's your client want for it? Echo asks Cid.
Maybe it's a pet, Maybe he wants to turn it into a stew. Don't know, don't care.
As long as you get paid. Hunter says in a cold tone.

Your starting to catch on, Cid says. And guess what? You'll get paid too.
Bring the lizard in the back. The rest was already going to the back when Hunter stopped to face Wrecker and Omega.

What are you two up to? Hunter asks, when he sees Omega look at Wrecker expectantly.
The missions over, Can we go? Wrecker asks with his biggest smile.
Again? Hunter answers. It's a tradition! Wrecker says. It makes the kid happy, Wrecker adds.
I dont think it only makes the kid happy, you say smiling.

Dont take to long, Hunter says to Wrecker, as he goes to Cid's office to the rest with you.
Wrecker and Omega are doing a celebration dance, you see, making you laugh.
Before going in the doorway to Cid's office you feel a familiar presence, but shake it off.

Alright Fellas, here's your cut. Whoa Whoa Whoa, you said the job paid three time this, Hunter says when only getting a few credits. For me! Not for you! Cid answers.
And how is this a mutually beneficial arrangement? Echo asks. You look at Cid, you are also confused.

Your breathing aren't you? Cid says. Rather generous, considering the debt you owe me! Cid adds. What debt? Tech asks. Docking fees, port charges, gear, fuel, rations, and 20 cartons of Mantell Mix.

You sigh, well played Cid, you think. Now i like you boys, but I'm not running a charity here.
You need a big score for us to be square! Cid says. Like what? Echo asks.
Like retrieving that tactical droid, but you bungled that op! Cid answers.
