Day of The Harvest Festival

It hadn't taken long for you to concoct a plan to leave, seeing as most of the guards that watched the pass that led to your village were busy fooling around with some of their friends or other villagers rather than pay attention to their surroundings - - or maybe they just couldn't comprehend the fact that someone would leave this place.

You also recalled from past experiences that the guards would usually abandon their posts when a celebrations would take place. When you were younger, you'd often escape during these festive occasions. So that's why you chosen to leave tonight.

For the past two weeks, you slowly gotten enough food rations and stashed them in an bag. You'd found it buried under a bunch of old stuff in your closets. It was old, clearly being one of your dad's old travel bags. Despite it not being in the best shape, it was still satisfactory for your needs.

Once you'd obtained enough food, pads, clothing, and other components, you kept the bag hidden in your closet, where you found it, to not arouse suspicion from any guests that came into your house.

Now that everything was ready. You had one last thing to do, say goodbye.

Taking a deep breath, you ascended the stone steps which led to the plateau where the members of your village who had passed away were buried.

Every year, you visited your parents and aunt during the harvest festival, it was fitting because the festival was about honoring those who came before.

However, this year was different. You were departing on an adventure you had long dreamed of, so this would be the last time you could visit them.

Arriving at the top of the plateau, you were struck by the sight of the lush green grass and the wildflowers that dot the field. Picking your way through the hedge stones, you eventually came to three side-by-side, Your aunt and your parents. You laid wreathes around each of their stones.

"Hey mom and dad, I know it's been a whole year since I last visited, time moves fast"

You said quietly

"I am finally leaving, and I know that Dad would be proud of me. After all, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree......and Don't worry, Mom, I have your courage too, so I know I'll be alright."

You said with a small smile.

The wind blowing over your face slightly as you talked.

"I came here to say goodbye not a day goes by that I don't Miss you, and I love y'all"

You said, as tears threatened to roll down you face.

No matter how much time had passed since their passing, it was still so hard to say goodbye. You loved them deeply, even though they had gone when you were just five years old.

You sighed and walks over walked towards Bells's (that's your aunts name) grave.

You sighed and walks over walked towards Bells's (that's your aunts name) grave.

"You... are probably mad at me, right?"

Looking up at the beautiful seen before you taking in the fresh Spring breeze.
