"Hey Leaf" Mr Eid tosses up a 4 pieces of 3-inch stone cylinder looking device with a red circle in the middle towards the boy "just in case."
"a echo stone huh? think someone in there would risk this mission?"
"No, not really.... but we can never be too careful, it seems this mission can bring a huge change around the continent, the world even, Advisor Berater has advised extreme discretion, and to look out for potential sabotages, recorder's there to capture any suspecting conversations if any."
"Right, a giant boulder that you speak to and then another giant boulder somewhere else that will sound like you and it's all happening at the same time. The echo stone is already too much for me to understand, a stone that can absorb sounds when the circle part has been pressed down once and then whatever you say when you said it will be remembered, and then when you press it again, the stone will start speaking in your voice." the young boys' brain start to melt as he wonders confusingly on how this new technology will work."Well Leaf, it'll definitely shorten the amount of time messages will be received, obviously being a giant boulder, it'll be too much of a hassle for everyday common people to use it, however Rex Dono in his wisdom has decided that this piece of technology would help not only Fosurbs, but the nations and land in Arkadia, so representatives from Frigardia and Fortia Logi will be present here to help break it down to smaller pieces"
"and if it goes into the wrong hands, like bandit highwaymen or Pit Fiends, or secret organisations out to get us, we'll be in a heap lot of trouble"
Joining in late to the conversation, a small dwarven woman chimes in, "and that's why we're hand picked for this mission" she winks at the pair.
"Tots!" Leaf runs into the open arms of the dwarven woman, the woman wearing a dark green hooded robe, and dark green hunting garb, with a quiver full of arrows and bow slung behind her back.
"My favourite troublemaker!" the young boy and dwaf hug the warmest of hugs, pulls away from Leaf and starts pinching his cheeks. "How are you lad?!"
"Very good!" Leaf smiles.
"Ah, the Ranger Corp also, I'm beginning to think we're on a very heavily guarded escort mission" Mr Eid and Tots hug, as she pulls away she says "We are, the Lightbringer Soldiers and their Champion is here"A grim expression flashes over the tall purple suited man, "all the more reason we should make sure this goes off without a hitch, or if it does, we'll know who we can talk to." he does a quick glance over to Leaf, the boy nods and tucks the echo stone into his blazer.
The trio stand just outside the Palace gates, tall beautiful white pillars stand aside from across each other with white stone stairs leading towards a giant stone brick gate, with the Fosurbs symbol etched on it, the 2 guards standing on each side nods and weave a symbol with their free hand to have the gate open, the gate open inwards without any physical labor, the trio steps into a beautiful courtyard, with flowers of all colour greet them as they pass through, trees and greenery pepper the already bright fauna here to give this area a sense of magnificent peace and serenity. They reach the front of the Palace Spire, a tall intricately made building spiralling upwards to become the highest point in Forsubs, with the base of the building being the widest and gradually decreases in width as it punctures the sky.
They do another round of greetings as they enter the place, the hall as massive as the marketplace, with decorated columns supporting the floor above, a red carpet with golden lining is spread across the ground beneath them, a huge statue of Rex Inmolatio, the first human king can be seen in the middle of the hall that split into 3 wings, an elderly gnome wearing dark blue robe adorned with green linings and glasses stands at the foot of the statue heading towards the East Wing, eagerly waiting for the guests.
"There they are" he greets bows and smiles at the approaching figures.
"Advisor Berator" the trio bows in respond. The gnome gestures the trio to follow him, they head in towards the east wing, reaching the end of the hallway, a dozen soldiers with armor gilded in gold, instead of the Forsurbs symbol, these elven warriors bear the Lighbringer symbol, a sword emenating light is etched onto the chest of their armor, their pride.
