In the class....

"As we all know the Miss of the Year event is coming up in few days, please let's start preparing for the event" the mistress said

"Yes ma'am" the aspirants said

"Okay, that will be all for today, we are ending all classes today so you can have enough time to prepare for the event in few days" the mistress said

"Thank you ma'am" the aspirants said, looking happy

"Okay, Katherine see me in my office" the mistress said as she left

Katherine is in front of the mistress.

"How was the ball and dinner night?" The mistress asked Katherine

"They were nice ma'am" Katherine replied

"You and Prince Deo are quite close" the mistress said

"Me? No ma'am, we are just friends" Katherine said

"Just friends? And he got you a dinner gown?" The mistress said

"Who told you about that?" Katherine asked shocked.

"Lady Treasure is my good friend also" the mistress replied

"Oh" Katherine said

"He likes you, you know?" The mistress said

"No, I don't. Does he??" Katherine asked

"He spoke to only you during the dinner night, he didn't take his eyes off you at the ball and he even got you dinner gown... What do you think?" the mistress said

"Oh no ma'am, he did that because we are friends" Katherine

"I am his friend also" the mistress said, laughing.

Katherine smiled.

"I think he likes you very much based on my observation" the mistress continued

Katherine blushed.

"I really can't lie to you ma'am, I noticed but I just do not want to jump into conclusion" Katherine said

"I understand, do you like him also?" The mistress asked

"I think I do" Katherine replied shyly.

"That's good to hear" the mistress said

Katherine smiled.

"You can leave, please start preparing, the event is in few days" the mistress said

"Okay ma'am" Katherine said with a bow as she left.

The Miss of the Year event.

A lot of people came from far and near to witness the Miss of the Year final event, crowds filled the hall, since they started the Miss of the Year events, crowds have not been this plenty. Princes and princesses from the princes and princesses school were present, their teachers were well represented, Prince Deo's friends from horse racing competition attended, Princess Margaret's parents came, even Marian, her baby and her husband were present.

"It is the joy of every lady who is the first born of her family to be the Miss Of The Year.... and today, the Queen will be selecting the lady who will be the winner of this last title, now, let's welcome the aspirants of this year," Miss Regina said in a sweet tone.

The aspirants of the year came in through the door one by one, they were all covered with a veil so no one could see them.

"As we all know that the Queen selects the perfect bride for her sons and so far she had selected perfect brides for nine of her sons. Today!!!" Miss Regina paused, "the Queen will be selecting the Miss of the Year which will become her tenth and first son's bride, let us encourage the young aspirants as they display their skills," Miss Regina continued.
