Chapter 6

Diamond's Man Pov.

My eyes snapped open, it was weird because my alarm hadn't gone off yet, so it dragged me to more confusion. I grabbed my phone and checked the time, it was around 6, which was around when I would normally wake up.

I rose up and rubbed my eyes, I still felt so sleepy, my head pounded and my body ached. I stretched my arms and yawned. I could hear the sound of footsteps, soon my door opened, then my father walked in. "Hey Bud, you okay?" He asked, I nodded slowly, "Just a headache, it's nothing else, I'll be fine." I said, my father nodded and left my room.

I got up, figuring I'd just eat something for breakfast at the moment. I left my room and wandered to the kitchen, grabbing something to eat. I couldn't see my mom anywhere and at that moment I felt an odd sense of relief about that. "Need me to drive you or are you taking the bus?" I heard my dad ask, I told him I'd just take the bus and continued eating my breakfast.

(XD TIME SKIP)
(Let's just fast forward to when Diamond Man got on the bus)

I got on the bus and sat down where I normally did, which was next to Spike. He looked at me and waved, "Hey dude!" He said with enthusiasm, "Hey Spike, what's up?" I asked, "Oh nothing much, just chilling and listening to music." He responded, I nodded, "what's up with you? You look like death and hell." Spike said, "Long night, my sleep schedule is fucked up." I responded, not having an intention to tell Spike what had all happened last night. "Shit, I'm sorry about that." Spike said, "ah don't feel bad dude, not like you knew at all." I chuckled, Spike nodded, "Still man, long nights could mean anything." Spike added. He had a point, I appreciated his words, but nonetheless still had zero intention of telling him why I felt so exhausted.

The bus hauled to a stop and we all got up, exiting the bus one by one. Me and Spike wandered into the school, and eventually made our way to our lockers, "Well, See you around Diamond Man." Spike waved as he wandered off, I waved goodbye and ran down to my first period class, or algebra to be more specific. I wandered in and saw Dave writing something down, once again still smiling. "Morning." I said, Dave looked at me and waved, "Good morning Diamond Man." He responded, "You look exhausted, did you not sleep last night?" Dave asked, a concerned tone in his voice. "I didn't, Things just... happened last night.." I looked down at the ground, after that I sat down and saw Dave make his way over to me. "Do you wanna talk about it?" Dave asked, I paused for a minute, did I wanna tell him about what happened? I trusted him, I felt safe around Dave, so he wouldn't mind right?

Before I even tried speaking, I felt as if something was stopping me from say a word. Then we sat there in silence for a while. "It's okay if you're not ready, take all the time you need." Dave spoke in a quiet tone. I nodded and looked away for a moment, the bell was about to ring as well. Dave made his way away from me as he too noticed the bell would ring soon too. I sighed and laid my head on the desk, I wanted to fall asleep badly, but that wouldn't even work if I tried. I felt my eyes close but they snapped open when the bell rung and students made their way into class, their were like clumps of people. They were all talking, all the conversations overlapped each other and it felt slightly overwhelming, it was too loud for me, never did it help that I had a huge headache.

I just wanna go home already.
