⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ FÄENU WASN'T ONE TO MEDDLE WITH FAMILY AFFAIRS, but this time was different. the arrival of outsiders had sent waves of shock and alert throughout the metkayina clan. the sight of large ikrans flying above only made fäenu even more intrigued.
"reya! reya! we must go see what is happening for ourselves!!!" tsireya smiled and nodded. the na'vi pulled her older sister with excitement as they both made their way to the new arrivals, grabbing onto ilus swimming by. when she reached the shore, she jumped off the ilu and hastily, yet gracefully made her way out of the water. she swiped away the wet strands of hair that slightly covered her face⎯it was the one thing that helped differentiate her and tsireya who looked almost identical to each other, while tsireya had her hair braided in the front so as to not disturb her, fäenu had her hair completely loose and down to her waist⎯and smiled at the people who had just arrived. from their distinctive features it was clear that they were part of the omaticaya clan.
neteyam was quick to notice how his brother's brows were raised and pupils slightly dilated when he caught sight of the metkayina girl, and so he wasted no time in teasing him by smirking and bumping his shoulders with his, to which the younger responded with a grumble and went back to looking at the girl.
"fäe, pay attention! you have to be careful of your⎯" tsireya warned but fäenu was already focused on something⎯ rather, someone else⎯ one of the boys, seemingly the younger one. with the two teens shyly looking at one another, she got distracted and eventually tripped over a rock, "⎯...surroundings" tsireya ended her sentence right after and sighed, shaking her head. the girl quickly composed herself but still prayed to eywa to make her dissappear right there and then out of embarrassment. the other clan members were used to this so they paid no mind and continued to inspect the outsiders. lo'ak however noticed and couldn't help but snicker softly, he found her rather endearing. on the other hand, ao'nung laughed loudly and pointed at her (but glared at others when they did the same). tsireya slapped him across the head for it and walked forward with fäenu holding her hand and hiding behind her out of shame.
ao'nung and rotxo however quickly shifted their teasing to the omaticaya children. "look! is that supposed to be a tail?" they pointed towards their tails and snickered, "it's so small, how are they supposed to swim with that?" fäenu peeked at them and looked at their tails. she found them odd but in a fascinating way, so she didn't really appreciate the degrading attitude of her brother and his friend. she slapped ao'nung with her own tail that resulted in him flinching and looking at her who was shaking her head, "ao'nung. rotxo. enough." they grumbled, but reluctantly agreed, going back to their position next to the girls.
