Chapter 5: training

A month later
3rd person

  Tanjiro has been getting trained by the uppermoons. Kokushibou has been teaching him sword techniques and moon breathing, Akaza has been teaching him hand to hand combat, Douma has been teaching him how to keep up a facade and not let anyone know who Tanjiro really was, and Gyutaro has been teachng him about and how to make types of poison. Muzan would do daily checks on Tanjiro and his progress. Hantengu and his clones have been a bit jealous that the others have been able to spend so much time with Tanjiro so them and Gyokko spend as much time with Tanjiro as possible.

In Gyutaro's room with Tanjiro, Gyutaro, and Daki
Gyutaro's POV

  Daki and Tanjiro just entered my room. Tonight him and I will be working on a poison that can kill both demons and humans, but not an upper moon demon. 

  Right now though, Tanjiro is trying on some demon hunter uniforms she stole.

  "Are you sure about this one?" Tanjiro asked, from inside the closet. "Yes, now hurry up." Daki responded.

  Tanjiro slowly stepped out. I felt my face heat up as I stared at him. His face is red, the top shows his chest, and the bottoms are a skirt that reaches his mid thighs.

  "Gyu~ Gyu~ GYU!" Tanjiro yelled, snapping me out of my haze. "Y-yes?" I asked. "Do I look nice?" He asked. "Look, you very nice." I answered. I saw Daki smirking at me. She did this on purpose.

  "T-thank you." He said, face going even more red. "That was the last outfit. You can change back now." Daki said. Tanjiro nodded then went back into the closet.

  "What are you planning?" I asked Daki. "I don't know what you're talking about Onii-chan." She lied. "Stop lying. Tell me what you're planning." I said, a bit sternly. "You'll see. You and the others will be Very happy if all goes according to plan." She said, with a big smirk on her face. I don't trust that look in the slightest.

  The closet opened and Tanjiro walked out back in his normal clothing. "Ready to start making the poison?" I asked. He nodded in response.

   I got up, went over to the bookshelf, grabbed a book about plants, and sat down next to Tanjiro. "I thought we were going to go straight to making the poison." Tanjiro committed. "Since we will be making a human and demon poison we need to go over safety and I will be explaining a few things." I responded. "Oh." He said.

  I opened the book to the wisteria section. "First, Wisteria is poisonous to both humans and demons. Though for humans the poison has to be consumed unlike demons, who you have you inject the poison into. Do you want this poison to be injected into demons but humans have to consume it, or it can be injected into both humans and demons?" I asked.

  Tanjiro paused. "Can we make it so it can be both injected and consumed by humans? It would be more beneficial that way." He said. He is brilliant. "That's a great idea." I responded.

  He smiled brightly and I smiled in return.

2 hours later
Tanjiro's POV

  I just left Daki and Gyutaro's room. We are going to test the poison tomorrow, but for now, I'm going to hang out with Gyokko, Hantengu, and his clones. I was a bit weary around them at first but they are all really nice. All of them compliment me a lot.

  "Ohayo Tanjiro." I heard Douma say. I turned around to see him approaching me while waving. "Ohayo Douma." I responded. Douma caught up and we started walking next to each other.

  "How have you been?" Douma asked. "I'm good. How are you?" I replied "Good. It's been a month since you came here. How are you liking it?" He asked. "I like it a lot. Everyone is very nice." I answered.

  "That's good. I know everyone loves you being here. One og Hantengu's clones even said that he doesn't want you to leave, even if it's to spy on the demon hunters." He said, giggling a bit. I laughed a bit as I felt my face slightly heat up. "Yeah, but that won't be for like two years, I believe." I responded.

  "I'm glad Akaza-dono and I found you." He said. "Yeah, you two saved me, and because of you and Muan, I have a new home. I don't know how I can ever repay any of you." I replied. He put his hand on my head and started playing with my hair. "Don't worry snowflake, you being here is all we need." He said, then I felt a light kiss on my cheek.

  I felt my face heat up. "I have to get going. See you later snowflake." He said, giving me a big smile, before walking away.

  I lifted my hand to my cheek and felt my face get even warmer, and my lips slightly curl upwards.

Douma's POV

  I FINALLY KISSES TANJIRO! Sure it was on the cheek but that's still a win. He doesn't seem to mind the nickname. Which is amazing.

  "Douma." I heard Akaza say. I turned to him and saw him leaning against the wall, with his arms crossed, and he looked angry.

  "Hello Akaza-Dono!" I greeted. He walked over to me and punched a hole in my stomach. "Awww~ What was that for?" I asked as the hole began to heel. "I saw you kiss Tanjiro." He answered.

  "Oh, you're jealous." I said. He pulled back his arm to hit me again but I caught it. "That's no way to act. I think I know a way for both of us to get what we want." I said, and let his hand go. "What are you talking about?" He asked. "How about we work together, and share Tanjiro?" I suggested. He paused for a few seconds, then groaned. "Fine!" He said. Yeah now I can get both my old crush and my new crush.

  "What are you two talking about?" Koku asked as he appeared out of nowhere. "Nothing lord Koku." I answered. 'Don't lie, I heard everything... and I want in." He said.
