I hopped back onto the ground from a high branch in my large tree. The sun would raise over the mountains soon, and I needed to get ready.
I had gone hunting before I went to bed last night and was excited to leave the village for a while. I needed my space away from this village.
I stretched my arms and let out a strange sound from my mouth. It reminded me of a wolf growl. I flipped my hair back out of my face and remembered that I hadn't put my hair back into a ponytail because of the Feast.
I reached behind my head and grabbed my hair. I reached down with my other hand and picked up a wheat-sewn bracelet, that I used for putting my hair in a ponytail instead of a real bracelet. I wrapped my hair four times, making sure my hair would not fall out.
I slipped on my pine-green hunting clothes. My cow-leather boots, and grabbed my bow, my quiver, and my arrows. I slipped the bow around my chest and the quiver on the opposite. I picked up a large hand-bag that I would carry in my hands till we find camp later tonight. It contained a large amount of meat, a canting, and two small daggers. Just in case.
I was ready and apparently so was everyone else. I looked towards the village. Lukas, Ticon, and Argent were all walking on the dirt path towards me. Lukas and Ticon wearing their usual scholar clothes, and Argent had on her regular everyday clothes, the usual.
Lukas had his satchel that held his manuscript and a multitude of others, plus a wool and cow leather backpack that I guessed held his water and food.Ticon had his signature shovel in a what should be a sword sheath and had a backpack that probably contained water and food.
Argent also had the same backpacks, but hers was dyed a bright red, which matched her white and red outfit. Typical Argent.
They were nearing me, so I decided to start walking towards them. Argent noticed me and gave a big wave to me. I waved back, but less big of a motion. I continued walking towards them. Lukas and Ticon were speaking, but Lukas was doing all the talking, everything as the usual should be. Argent kept her eyes fixed on me, but suddenly darted to the side. I looked where her head was facing and sighed. K-minor.
"SIYRA! SIYRA! SIYRA!" A scream so piercing, I could feel the animals in the fields cringe. A small girl, about up to my stomach, ran towards me, quicker than the deer I hunt. The little girl was dressed in a pure white deer-skin tunic and no shoes. She had a relatively large bag sewed onto her hip, the bag was a light pink. Her shining blond hair was perfectly combed down and stretched all the way down to her midsection. Her name was none other than K. But, we all called her K-minor.
"Hey K." I said to her, once she ran up to me.
She waved spastically to me and I waved back calmer.
For some odd reason, she was obsessed with me and thought I was literally the coolest person on Middle Euroshen. I appreciated the acknowledgement, and she was really nice. But, she was a bit of an annoyance. And I knew what was coming next, "Where are you going."
"Where are Argent, Lukas, and you going?" She asked, waving her arms behind her back.
I smiled nicely. I couldn't lie. Our god Roroak, the god of law, honesty, and punishment, disallowed for me too, especially to children. "We are going on a little trip." I answered.
Her face lit up and she began frantically smiling and blinking her eyes. I giggled. I didn't know why, but she could always make me smile, with the fact of how crazy she was.
"Can I come? Can I come? Can I COME?!" She yelled at the final word. I cringed at the sound, but I quickly recollected myself.
Argent, Lukas, and Ticon had finally reached where I was.Thank the Gods, I thought. People to help me through this.
