Mr. Rogan was so happy that Ashley had said yes to his question. He couldn't believe it! He thought that she would've been creeped out and grossed out, but she was calm and clear. Very surprising.
The ride to school seemed to take longer and longer every second. The trees became more scarce and the streets more wide. The ground seemed to be newer than before. Almost a white, not grey at all. The shades seemed to become lighter as the car neared the highway.
"Where are we?" Was all I could manage.
"Well Ashley, being my girlfriend you should trust me. Besides, I have to teach you and those other students, so there is no point in going anywhere but school," Mark replied.
The rest of the ride was silent. Even the birds had shut up. Everything was light and green. The trees, the grass, the leaves, even the bark on trees and the rocks were green.
Everything was perfect.
Then, the forest cleared into a dirty highway, where the road was almost black and there were no trees. It was ugly.
We drove in silence, until we reached the school of course. Then, we had to speak. He told me to tell people, if they asked, that I needed a ride, and that he was driving bye and offered. So that is what I did.
The bell rang and school began. The day went bye fast. It was... MAGIC. Then, came Mr. Rogan's class. He never called on me unless I put my hand up. He even game me a lunch. He was so nice, well, until the end of the day came.
"Well, did you enjoy your lunch? I made it while you were sleeping. And I also wanted to know if you would like to stay at my house tonight." He said smoothly.
"Well... I'm not sure. Don't you have plans? I mean. You're a teacher so."
"Nah. I never have plans. I just make a phone call that lasts about 6 minutes, and then I am set. I did the call earlier."
"Ok then. I guess that I will stay with you again."
"Great! I was hoping you would say that. I was hoping to try something on you. But you can never tell. And you also cannot move when it happens. Ok?"
"Mmmmm k."
We drove to house house for what felt felt like 2 hours. But when I checked, it only said that we had taken up 30 minutes of our time together. He put on classical music.
The car then became silent. Almost to silent. If you know what I mean.
Then, he lurched at me.
