The queen of Manhattan

Chapter four:

"Drive"

"Anne can you please tell me what happened you look like you saw a ghost from the moment I started to drive" Johnathan says with a worried tone in his voice "their dead" I say while tears threaten to fall from my eyes again

Johnathans eyes widen and he pulls over "fuck...what are we going to do?" He says to himself I just look up at the hood of the car rage coming over me. Images of my dads smile and my mothers gaze as the stranger killed my "father" huh was he even my father? What the fuck did he mean by "his" daughter not only that but how the hell did he know my mothers name?'

I get pulled out of my trance when I see another car pull up in front of us. Two guys get out and I realize it's Johnathans dad.

Johnathan gets out and goes around and opens the fort and offers his hand to me to which I take. We walk over to Johnathan's dad and I can tell he already knows what happened but after everything I couldn't keep the act of being strong so instead I fall of my knees and start to cry not knowing what to do or how to avenge my parents. Johnathan quickly crouches behind me and hugs me making my melt into his embrace. Johnathans father looks at us and kneels downs to hug me too

As much as I wanted to hide my emotions from my bestfriend and his father I knew I couldn't it would've just made things worse.

About five minutes go by with us just being in that position before I stand up and wipe my tears and begin to talk, murder now being the only thing in my mind, "where is the guy that killed my parents" I say with a cold tone. Johnathan and his father look at me surprised "Anne don't you think you have seen enough blood today?" I turn to see a girl taking a puff of her cigarette. "Madison this doesn't concern you" I say wondering where she came from and how she even knows about the event.

"Anne trust me I know your full of rage honey and I know how much it must hurt to see your parents get killed right in-front of you especially when your helpless to stop it" she says as she walks closer to us. "But you must understand with us three we can avenge your parents and we can get your don back but your going to have to think it through you can't act on rage or something will go wrong or you could get someone killed" she says as she cups my face her voice soothing me.

Ever since kindergarten it's always been us three Johnathan Madison and I sure Madison and I barely talk nowadays but we still care about each others just like sisters.

"Your 18th birthday is next week right?" She asks and I slowly nod my head wrapping my arms around her pulling her into a hug to which she happily returns

"Don't worry to much about it Jonathan and I will help as much as we can but until next week you technically aren't allowed to run a don so we'll teach you the robes" she says glancing at Johnathan
"For now you can stay with us Ms. Anne" Johnathan father says while I turn around I smile a little and start to get back in the vehicle that brought Johnathan and I here

A few minutes of watching the three talk amongst themselves and looking at me with worried eyes Johnathan opens the car door and starts to drive his grip on the wheel tight. I realize how tight he's holding the steering wheel and I gently put my hand over his hand that's on his knee "Johnathan" I say sweetly "is everything ok?" He looks at me and sighs "everything is going to be fine Anne i promise we'll get the fucker who killed them" he says while easing his grip on the wheel.

After driving for a few more minutes in awkward silence I notice my hand is still on his my face beats a little and I look out the window and try to hide it. "It was nice seeing Madison again" I say softly not wanting to alarm him or anything he glances to me then at my hand and his intertwined together. He then looked back at the road and his face is red like mine was awhile ago.

Soon we pull up to his house and we both get out and walk to the front door as I walk through I feel as if I'm home again
