Seemingly unbothered by the prospect of sleeping so near the younger, Taehyung started to collect a few items from the walk-in closet over to his left, walking back out with them slung over his shoulder. He stopped when he was that Jimin hadn't moved and smiled gently, glancing at the sofa to check something.

"I don't know how long you're going to need to try and settle on the sofa, but there are blankets in the drawers over there if you think you'll be able to use them," the elder said, beginning to head towards his ensuite, "I need to shower, so make yourself as comfortable as you can and I'll be back soon."

With that, the door closed between them and Jimin was left to untangle his scrambled brain and figure out what he was going to do.

A few minutes later, he tugged open the top drawer that had been said to hold the blankets, deciding that that was a good place to start. The sound of water splashing down onto tiles could be heard faintly and he had to stop and scold himself multiple times for imagining the scene that was unfolding inside. Seriously, he needed to get a grip of himself, he groaned for the fifth time, his gaze coming to rest on the sheets folded neatly in front of him.

Reaching for the one that looked the cosiest, he had barely made contact when his hand shot back from the fabric. His skin crawled and a wave of nausea rose in his throat due to the memories springing to his mind. He knocked the drawer shut and rested his forehead on top of the wooden surface, sucking in several deep breaths and squeezing his eyes closed to rid himself of the images. This was going to be much harder than he planned it he couldn't even pick them up.

Listening out, the ravenette could still hear movement from inside the bathroom and he cast around for another idea. It was going to get cold lying on the sofa all night, even though the apartment was well-heated. He had discovered that small fact during the previous nights and had just about managed to force himself to suck it up and deal with it. His gaze landed on the LED alarm clock on the bedside table, reminding him of the similar flashing one Hoseok had impulsively bought and never used, which gave him a hopeful idea.

When Taehyung waltzed out of the ensuite, clad in a pair of sweatpants, with nothing except a cream bandage covering his chest, Jimin was halfway to sitting down on the sofa. He jumped at the sudden appearance, not that it was unexpected, and teetered a bit on his feet, still rather unsteady owing to his growing weariness.

Pulling the fluffy fabric further around himself, he took in the elder's ruffled hair and exposed torso and had to look away, wishing the folds of the dressing gown would swallow him. The younger had remembered the robe, the same one from several days ago, and rejoiced with a mini celebratory dance when he found that he could still wear it without feeling uncomfortable.

"The blankets didn't work then?" the elder asked, after noticing there weren't any on the sofa.

The dancer shook his head, recovering from his flustered moment and returning to his current dilemma. Actually sitting on the sofa was proving much more difficult than he had anticipated, not because of his body's rejection, but because of how scared he was of the feelings it might make resurface. He hadn't even attempted it yet and was ashamed to admit it out loud.

Distracted by his problem, he didn't sense the brunette walk over until a delicate finger brushed over his fist, which was clenched at his side. Surprisingly, the sensation didn't cause him to flinch, maybe he was currently too preoccupied, and he didn't resist when the hand fully engulfed his own.

"Would it help to close your eyes?"

The words were softly spoken, almost with an air of hesitance, and he looked up to see Taehyung puzzling over the situation. He was around two feet away, even though their hands were intertwined, and it made Jimin's heart flutter to know the other wanted to give him space.
