It was like any other day for y/n.

Wake up, be tested on, be watched through a one sided glass wall, and being fed the nastiest vegetation ever.

However, most the time, his "uncle Wu" would allow y/n to explore the lab, with the one rule that y/n can't touch anything.

And that's exactly what he was doing right now. Watching the many egg batches, remembering the time in his life where he himself was in an egg.

The specific lab he was in doubled as a viewing area for guest, who were on the other side of glass.

As y/n was enjoying watching the scientist at work, he heard the voice of Claire dearing, a higher-up around the backdoors of Jurassic world, and what y/n called "the nice lady" when he was younger, as she was one of the few people that actually took a Liking to him.

Turning around to follow her voice, y/n spotted her walk into the lab, escorting a few rich looking people.

Now you may be wondering. Doesn't y/n have horns and scales? Well, he does. To hide his scale covered body, y/n wears a bunch of oversized clothing, from sweatpants, to hoodies droop Below his waist. And to hide his horns, he always had his hood up, covering most of his face.

Claire: "while year over year, revenue continues to climb, operating costs are higher than ever. Our shareholders have been patient, but let's be honest, no one is impressed by a dinosaur anymore"

This confused y/n. He himself was part Dinosaur, and he's still impressed when just looking at the eggs of dinosaurs. Then again, y/n barely left the lab due to Uncle Wu's orders.

Claire: "twenty years ago, de-extinction was right up there with magic. These days, kids look at a stegosaurus like an elephant at a city zoo. That doesn't mean asset development is falling behind. Our DNA excavators discover new species every year. but consumers want them bigger, louder, more teeth"

Y/n was thankful that he applied to none of those. He was slightly bigger than your average 15 year old teen, he wasn't that loud, and his teeth were actually kinda flat.

Claire: "the good news? Our advances in gene splicing have opened up a whole new frontier. We've learned more from genetics in the past decade than a century of digging up bones"

Now is where y/n listens for good. Around that time was when he was born. He was always told he was one of the first "gene splicing" projects, and the only one to survive. Well... Until recently, where the newest, biggest hybrid was created. Uncle Wu said that y/n was what led up to. Which.. if you think about it, sounds a little degrading.

Claire: "so, when you say you want to sponsor an attraction, what do you have in mind?"

Sponsor man1: "we want to be thrilled"

Claire: "don't we all?"

Using the screen behind her, Claire shows off a digital DNA strand of said new attraction.

Claire: "the indominus Rex. Our first genetically modified hybrid"

Well, to be fair. To everyone's knowledge, the indominus was the first fully dinosaur hybrid, as y/n was sitting in the same room. At least... That's what he hoped Claire meant. she probably didn't know he was there.

From his position, he spotted uncle Wu, so he quickly went to his side, standing at about a bit above his shoulder.

Sponsor man2: "how do you get two different kinds of dinosaurs to, you know..."

Wu: "oh, indominus wasn't bred. She was designed. She will be 50 feet long when fully grown. Bigger than the Trex"

Claire: "every time we've unveiled a new asset, attendance has spiked. Global news coverage, celebrity visitors. Eyes of the world"
