A/N I'm cringing internally writing this but welps-
This is also a shorter chapter, as it's the first one :)

"Jake, what the hell is this?" Antony deadpanned, staring at the amount of hot sauce Jake had the audacity to spread on his chicken wings. It looks like the chicken had drowned in a huge puddle of jalapeño sauce.

Jake just shrugged, a small hint of a mischievous grin on his face. He raised his eyebrows expectantly as Antony scowled at him. "You terrible person."

Antony lifted the chicken wing with two fingers, his expression extremely regretful. Rolling his eyes, he stuffed it in his mouth and struggled to chew, tongue blazing from the fiery flavor. He frantically downed milk to dilute the burning sensation as Jake began hysterically cackling at him.

"I swear, if I lose another 50/50 to Qiqi I'm going to lose it," Antony muttered as Jake slid out of the room with shuffled steps. Right before he slipped out the door, he did a little salute to the camera, and Antony's chat began spamming "o7".

Antony began wishing again, spending tens of intertwined fates as purple comet after purple comet flew through the vortex of the blue cloudy sky. "Okay chat, we're at seventy." He began doing single pulls, intently staring at the screen as if his eyes could somehow threaten Genshin Impact to give him Wanderer, even though he was already guaranteed.

"Seventy-six!" Antony exclaimed, jumping out of his seat when the star turned gold. "FINALLY!"

The gold flashed on his screen, and where he had expected to see the silhouette of the Wanderer was still a frozen golden light. He blinked a few times in confusion, the gears in his brain not comprehending that in fact, the golden light was not on his screen, and he was no longer in his room.

"Chat?" Antony called out, reaching his hand out at the bright light, and he suddenly felt the sensation of falling, air breezing past him and rustling through his hair. "CHAT? JAKE?!"

He landed hard in dusty-gold sand, groaning as he picked himself up and rolling over so he could get in a sitting position. "What the hell?"

Antony shook sand out of his hair, scanning his surroundings carefully. It was a simple beach with beautiful clear ocean waters, bordered by a tall stone cliff. It seemed awfully familiar, and there was an equally familiar person standing a few feet from... was it a teleport waypoint? He pinched his arm, and flinched when he felt it sting. So he wasn't dreaming.

Antony scrambled to his feet, running up to the person and identifying it as his roommate, Jake. "Jake, what's going on?" he questioned, grabbing Jake's shoulders and shaking him like a rag-doll.

Jake jumped in surprise. "Oh thank god you're here, too!" Antony let go of him, and Jake ran his fingers through his dark hair, concern and puzzlement evident in his expression. "I have absolutely no clue."

Antony curiously rested a hand on the silver crown-like top of the teleport waypoint, and, and the red light that shone through it glowed vibrantly as the whole contraption rose slowly, the light shifting to a sapphire blue. The teardrop-shaped gem embedded in the middle changed from crimson red to the same blue.

"Jake, I hate to say it, but I'm ninety-nine percent sure we're in Teyvat, unless I'm being an idiot."

"You are an idiot."

"Shut the heck up." Antony held his head like he was having a headache, his mind unable to understand their predicament in its entirety. "If we're stuck in Teyvat, how the hell are we supposed to get back?"

"That's a great question that I... do not know the answer to," Jake admitted, rubbing the back of his head.

Antony hit himself in the head a few times, as if that would somehow fix their problem. "The Traveler traveled here willingly, so maybe he can bring us back?"

"Two problems: where the heck is the Traveler and second, didn't he or she lose their powers?" Jake responded, his tone acting as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

"Damn it," Antony sighed, frustratedly kicking the sand and causing small clouds of dust to surround them. "What the heck are we going to do now?"

"I've never wanted a Paimon until now," Jake joked, trying to ease the tension of the situation, though it did little to brighten their spirits. "I guess Mondstadt's our only option."

"Wait, do we get anemo?" Antony suddenly asked, eyes perking up. "That would be so cool!"

Tuonto looked at him, and then at himself. "Honestly, we look like main characters." Antony then realized that their clothing had changed a bit... drastically.

It looked like modernized Genshin clothing, Jake wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket with gold embellishments and sleek gloves with a few streaks of light blue. Under the jacket was a dark turquoise turtleneck with intricate designs of darker blues, paired with a small gold chain necklace around his neck. He also was wearing simple dark-colored pants and boots.

Antony, on the other hand, was wearing a mocha colored sweater with complex gold and violet symbols, with a darker-brown cloak... thing? The only thing Antony could compare it to were the coat-tail things that Kaveh wore. It was dark lavender and crimson, decorated with gold details similar to Jake's jacket. He also had a long strap over his shoulder that was a calming orchid purple. He was wearing a thin belt with slightly baggy dark indigo pants that were similar to Aether's, as well as identical boots to Jake's.

"I look like a geo or electro character..." Antony suddenly realized, smacking himself in the face for not realizing sooner. Antony examined his clothing again, then glanced at Jake's. "Why do I look like a 4-star and you look like a 5-star?"

"Because I'm just better," Jake replied simply, crossing his arms over his chest with a superior look on his face that Antony wanted to wipe off.

"Okay, shut up. Don't talk until we actually get visions, if we even do." Antony followed the path that he recalled the Traveler and Paimon also took to get to Mondstadt. "I'm pretty sure it's this way. Let's go."
