You step lightly over some exposed roots as you wander further and further into the woods you found, your eyes taking in the scenery as you look for anything that sticks out to you. In your satchel is a large sketch book along with pencils, chalk, and a small container to put any trash in such as broken lead or chipped chalk. You prefer avoiding any possible damage to nature even if it's something as small as a single pencil shaving. The earth is too beautiful to be disrespected in such ways yet humanity does much worse to it. That's why you enjoy making art, so you can capture the beauty of nature before it's inevitably destroyed by humanities greed.

You're not quite sure where you are, but you do know that it's beautiful. You had been driving when you spotted the woods, pulling over into a patch of dirt before wandering into the trees in search of things to draw. So far you've gotten a few sketches of flowers, a squirrel napping on a branch, and a fallen tree covered in moss and mushrooms. None of those drawings were colored since you decided and simple sketch would be enough. You want to save something as time consuming as coloring for something truly beautiful. Something that can only have it's beauty truly captured by being drawn in color.

Breaking through the tree line, you find yourself at what appears to be a camp. There's multiple cabins though they all appear as if they haven't been touched in quite some time. Moving past them, you eventually find just what you're looking for. A gorgeous lake glistens in the sunlight, the water reflecting the golden color. The contrast between the glowing lake and the dark trees beyond it is perfect.

You head closer towards the lake, searching for a good spot to sit that will give you the best view. You eventually decide to sit at the end of the dock, your legs crossed with your sketch book resting on them. To your left is your bag with the container settled on top of it, already partially filled with shavings from both pencils and your eraser. On your right is your art utensils laid out, ready to be used. You decide against sketching the view first, choosing to simply go straight in with the chalk. It doesn't take long for you to become lost in your art, completely oblivious to everything else around you.

Jason watches you from afar, admiring you much like you admire nature. He was alerted to your presence as soon as you stepped foot onto the property of Camp Crystal Lake and was fully prepared to kill you for trespassing. He had grabbed his machete before taking off towards where you were only to hesitate upon seeing you. You were kneeling on the ground, smiling softly to yourself while sketching a patch of wild flowers. You didn't touch them at all, simply admiring them from a distance. Even when you messed up and had to erase something you still smiled, simply swiping the shavings into your little container before continuing.

He continued to follow you after that, watching as you stopped every now and then to sketch something different. The entire time he followed you his mother was surprisingly silent, not telling him what to do for once. He was actually quite relieved she wasn't ordering him to kill you. Perhaps she doesn't see you as a threat considering you've been nothing but respectful since arriving even if you did technically trespass. Something tells him you didn't do it on purpose though.

He admires you even as the sun begins to set, finding that the sunset seems even more beautiful with you basking in it. You don't seem bothered by the fact that night time is approaching, still taking your time to perfect your art. You want to finish it in one sitting since coming back won't be the same. There's always the chance of something changing, or something not quite looking the same as it did. You want to capture everything exactly as it is now regardless of how dangerous staying here this late is. Once the sun sets it'll be impossible to find your way back to your car yet you don't mind. Maybe you'll even stay in one of the cabins before getting up to sketch some more in the morning before leaving.

Jason perks up when you finally stand up, seeming quite pleased with your drawing of the lake. You clean up all of your art supplies, leaving the dock looking exactly as it did when you first showed up before trudging back towards the cabins. Luckily, all of them are unlocked so you decide to stay in the one closest to the lake. It's a bit musty but still good enough to sleep in so you gently place your bag down before climbing into bed.

He decides to go back to his own cabin after that, not bothered at all that you decided to stay. If he's being honest, he actually likes the fact that you're still there. Though, he knows you'll leave in the morning and as much as he wants to he won't make you stay. He can only hope that you'll eventually come back. That hope grows in the morning when he goes to the cabin you stayed in, finding you gone yet you left something behind.

Resting on the bed is the drawing you made of the lake yesterday which you delicately tore from your sketch book. You had felt eyes on you the entire time you were there yet it didn't bother you much. The second you stumbled into the camp you realized exactly where you were and who it was that was watching you. Instead of being scared, you decided to leave a gift for him, almost like a promise that you'll return.
