Chicago One story – Chicago fire, med and pd crossover
Anika was sat at the Squad table in firehouse 51. She was sitting next to Joe Cruz. They were best friends with Otis. Anika was feeling lightheaded that morning but still went to work. Cruz could see her pale face and asked her if she was ok. She said she's fine and got up to go to the bunk to lay down before the next call. As she was walking, she came across her lieutenant, Kelly Severide. Kelly walked past her and heard a thump. He quickly turned around to see Anika on the ground, unconscious. He ran over to her and turned her onto her back. He felt her forehead, which was burning up quickly. He called for Gabby and Shay. They ran to him and called for the boys to get the back board so they could transport her to Med. While the boys went to get the backboard, Anika woke up. She quickly sat up, only to be pushed back down to the ground by Kelly.
"Stay there Anika you took a pretty hard fall," he gently told her.
The boys got back and helped Anika onto the gurney. Shay was driving as Gabby was in the back with Anika, and Otis who decided to tag along. They arrived at Med and Anika was rolled into a room to get looked at. Otis sat on a chair beside the bed she was laying in and held her hand. Natalie was her doctor, and she did tests on Anika to find out that she was pregnant. Natalie was surprised because, Anika was single, and she has never had a boyfriend. Natalie went to go tell the news.
"So, your labs came back, and it looks like you are pregnant," Natalie said hesitantly.
Anika was shocked. How could she be pregnant. Otis was also shocked. Natalie left them to think about what she just told them. Anika got discharged and they went back to the firehouse. The others gathered around Anika and Otis.
"So, what was wrong?" Kelly asked.
"Um, I uh, I'm pregnant," stuttered Anika.
Everyone was shocked. The alarm rang and called for Squad 3, Engine 81, Ambulance 61. They all got ready and drove off to the scene.
