An: so im sure you all noticed that I deleted the 'miss Washington' chapter. Im still going to make that one shot, but I desprately needed to re-write it. ( like, the whole "Jessica Howe thing" was way to much extra stuff I just dont have room for) but anyway! Still around and you'll suddenly see more~... of that plot and so much more! I know I dont update very often, and for that I am sorry.
Anyway enough about that, on with the story!
Summary: classic employee neglects basic human needs and Washington dad mode puts a stop to it.

Washington POV
Im FINALLY done with this paperwork. I had to work extra late tonight to finish this by tomorrow. I hated staying after hours, but sometimes, it had to be done. I gather my things and leave my personal office and walk down the hallway. But I see another light coming from one of the other offices. The door was cracked open and I peek inside to see...
James Madison?!
I would have thought it would be Hamilton, he's usually the workaholic, but James?
He looks stressed... and half awake. I dont think hes actually working like he think he is. "Son?" I say softly, not wanting to startle him.
"Washington? Sir, I didn't know anyone else was still here." He says, flustered.
"neither did I, what are you working on?" I ask.
"The report due on friday." He mumbled.
I do a double take. "Son, its barely Monday."
"I know, I know, I just...I have so much work to do..." he trails off.
"Im sure you do, son. But sleep, and taking care of yourself are way more important then that. " I say calmly.
He slowly closes and opens his eyes, like he wants to take me up on his offer but is too stubborn to. Hamilton has been rubbing off on him. I think to myself.
I gently stand Madison up and guide him to the couch in his office. He multes some sort of protest but I ignore him. I lay him down and pull a blanket over him. His eyes flutter close and he instantly falls asleep. I go over and somewhat tidy up his desk. I dont want to move anything too much, but just straightening things out a little bit before making my leave. I make a mental note to get to the office early tomorrow.
"Good night, son"
