As Jack and Sophia walked into the chic, upscale restaurant, heads turned and whispers followed in their wake. Jack was used to the attention, but Sophia seemed a bit uncomfortable with the scrutiny.
"Ignore them," Jack whispered in her ear as they were led to their table. "They're just jealous."
Sophia gave him a small smile and nodded, but Jack could tell she was still on edge. He made a mental note to make sure she felt comfortable and special throughout the evening.
As they settled into their seats and perused the menu, Jack couldn't help but feel a sense of nervous excitement. He had been with plenty of women before, but there was something different about Sophia. She challenged him in a way that no one else ever had, and he found himself wanting to impress her.
After they placed their orders, Jack reached across the table and took Sophia's hand in his.
"I'm so glad you agreed to come out with me tonight," he said, looking into her piercing green eyes.
"Me too," Sophia replied, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. "I've been thinking about you a lot lately."
Jack's heart skipped a beat at her words. Could it be that she felt the same way he did?
As they continued to talk and laugh over their meals, Jack knew that he was falling for Sophia. And from the way she looked at him, he had a feeling she was falling for him too.
As they left the restaurant and headed back to Jack's penthouse, he knew that this was just the beginning of their story. He couldn't wait to see what the future held for them.
