Hello World!
As we head into the beginning of 2023, I decided I should take my love for storytelling seriously for once. This is probably the 30th story I've started and will hopefully be the first one I finish. I have already storyboarded the whole book and have ideas for the next one. I have to do the hard part now, actually writing the book.
A little housekeeping before we start:
1) I am a full-time university student. I am working on my Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering with a minor in electrical engineering. In addition to my school work, I work part-time and am on a formula SAE team that takes up much of my time. Please be patient with me regarding getting chapters posted. I am hoping to get the first two or three chapters posted before I get back to school for the spring semester.
2) I have dyslexia, and it tends to impact my spelling quite a bit. I do not have an editor reading over my work before I post, but I am using grammar and spelling editing software which will hopefully catch most of my mistakes.
3) I wanted to put a little trigger warning here, mentioning that this story is strongly rooted in a church environment. I understand this might make some readers uncomfortable due to religious trauma. I grew up attending church, and while I don't agree with much of the teachings, it was an integral part of my childhood. I always wanted to write a book about two young lovers meeting at church and falling in love with each other, and that is basically what this story is. That being said, this is NOT a Christian book. Church just happens to be part of the plot. There will only be a few mentions of pastors, church buildings, and attending services. There is no religious text or detailed sermons in this story.
4) As for how the storyboarding goes, this book will be roughly 27 chapters, give or take a few. Currently, I do not plan on adding detailed, intimate scenes or rating this story "mature." If you, as the reader, would like, for that to be part of the story, feel free to let me know in the comments or send me a message. I'm not against it, I just have very little experience with writing mature scenes or smut.
Thanks for checking out this fic. I truly appreciate it. Feel free to leave suggestions and notes in the comments!
Kaylee :)
