Chapter 2: Meanwhile in National City

In National City, Before Estelle left to meet her birth father

{Kara's POV}

I was at home sitting down eating pot stickers waiting for a call. Estelle said she was gonna call Alex but hasn't yet. I'm honestly worrying, but I need to stay calm just for a while. She doesn't know that I'm back from the Phantom Zone. Something probably happened and that's why she wants to talk to Alex. Then Alex got a call Kara sighed in relief knowing that it was Estelle. Alex says "Hello?" She put it on speaker and I heard Estelle say "Hey, Alex. How's everything going over there? Did you find Kara?" Alex says "There's something that you should know."

Estelle started to breath heavily and said, "No! Is she... dead?" I broke into tears hearing that. She didn't want to believe I was dead. Alex says "No. No, she's fine. We found her. She's home." Estelle says "Kara?" Kara says "Hey. Elle." I then heard sniffles and I heard her say "I'm so glad you're okay. I was so worried." I tell her "There's no need to worry, I'm right here." Then Estelle says "I'm glad. I'll talk to you later, Alex, Kara. I'll be in National City when I get done being here in Midvale. There is something I need to talk to you about Kara, but I'll do it when I get back to National City. Bye, guys." Alex and I say in unison "Bye, Elle." The phone call ended.

A Few Hours Later...

I was currently at the Tower. I have been catching up with everyone and helping out as much as I could. And then after everyone was done welcoming me back, we then started to talk about Estelle, and how they missed Estelle helping out the Tower in her free time and how she would sometimes get a couple of things wrong."Do either of you know when Estelle is coming back to National?" Nia asked Alex and I. "I don't know." Alex shrugged her shoulders, "she didn't say when she was coming back, just said once she was done in Midvale." I shrugged my shoulders as well. Nia then sighed, and then said "I hope she gets here soon." I found it weird that Estelle didn't say when she was coming back, though I guess it is understandable considering how busy she's been.

After Nia and I talked for a couple of minutes more, we were then interrupted by someone coming into the room. Turns out that it was Brainy. "Hey guys!" he said, "what's up?" "Just catching up with Kara." Nia replied. "I just came by to drop off this." Brainy then hands me a plastic tablet cover. I open it up and inside was a brand-new tablet. "What's this for?" I asked, puzzled. Brainy then says "well you remember how Estelle had the old broken tablet so I got a new one for her to use." "Oh yeah, thanks! But Eliza probably already got her a new one" I say. " Well, you take it then." Brainy says. I take it. "Thank you!" I say. "No problem, it was my pleasure." Brainy says before he leaves the room.

I then hear my phone going off so I take my phone out of my pocket and answers it to find that Estelle is calling me, "Hey, what's up?" I ask her.

"Hey! I was just wondering if you comeand get me." Estelle says.

"Yeah, sure. I'll be there in Midvale in a few." I reply

"Uhhh......I'm actually not in Midvale anymore." Estelle says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"I'm not far from the coast of Mission Creek." Estelle replies

"Ok, I'll be there soon." I say. "But are you doing ok?" I then ask.

"Uhh Yeah, I'm just a little tired." Estelle replies, but I could tell that she was lying

"Uh ok" I say.

"Just track my phone, I have my location on" Estelle says

"Ok, I will. See ya soon" I say, then I hang up.

I then track her phone and see that she is at an island. I then go and put on my suit. Once I have my suit on Alex then comes over to me "Hey, Nia told me that Estelle called her. Is anything ok?" she asked. "I'm going to go talk to her. I'll be back soon." I replied back and then I left and flew off.
