Frisk didn't have to wait long in the two story cabin for Papyrus to come home. She had been spending her time reading and you aren't ever really alone when you have your own deceased grandma hovering around for conversation.

Time flew by quickly that way.

But when Papyrus had called telling her he was on his way home and Undyne had sent him off with some new pasta dish dinner he was very excited to share.

Frisk grew a little nervous.

She knew asking him what he knew would be helpful. But she also understood asking him could hurt his feelings.

Asking someone about a traumatic event is never easy, asking them to relive it is always hard, seeing the memories flash in their eyes is always difficult.

But she knew she had to.

Papyrus was there the day the monsters were sealed. He might have some information that could help figure out how to free them.

Being here for 3 months and the only progress they made was finding books on the history of monsters and all information they had about souls prior to being sealed, not to mention they have gotten great at avoiding some of the kings guards. Their purpose might have changed to help the civilians in their disputes, but the king still ordered to catch any human they see if any at all.

Even though to Frisk's knowledge they were the only human that ever fell down here to begin with.

"I know that face your thinking hard." Chara floats by and leans back on air with their her crossed.

"What if Papy doesn't know anything? Or can't bring himself to say anything.." Frisk closed her book and look up at her ghostly companion.

"Maybe we ask Toriel then? We haven't visited her in a while and she is another monster that was there. She might be more willing too help as well."

Frisk looks back at her book with a hum "May-"

"Human! I am back with the pasta dish! Undyne also says hello and she wishes to hang out soon." Papyrus busts in with a cheerful tone and kicks the door closed.

Papyrus was a tall skeleton monster, his face wasn't that of a normal human skeleton skull, it was long with defined cheekbones, his perma smile always present. He was dressed in a jersey jacket of sorts and under that was a hooded sweater, the jacket was white, the sleeves an orange red, the sweater was black. He had on worn jeans and what looked to be snow boots of sorts.

Frisk never understood why he was dressed for the weather, Papyrus had stated before he doesn't feel the cold. But he looked stunning regardless.

"Welcome home Paps." She stands and follows him to the kitchen, she gets the plates as he pours some drinks.

"I hope you weren't to bored or lonely while I was away human." Papyrus sets the cups on the table as he sits and waits for Frisk who follows and sits with the plates.

"No I just watched that Mettaton play you showed me earlier and read a while." Frisk smiles, Chara floats by with a comment on how rude Frisk is for not mentioning her, but why would she? No one can even see her.

Papyrus fixes their plates, handing Frisk theirs first before making his own, they settle in and eat, passing the time with idle conversation, Papyrus mentions how his social training is going.

Wanting to join the royal guard is one thing but now that it has changed drastically the training is slightly different, so many tests and still physical training just in case a fight did break out.
