I sat on the warm, rocky terra, my eyes set on the horizon as a sigh escaped me. I couldn't believe how much the world had changed since the Transformers first arrived, and how many allies and friends we lost along the way, including my deceased best friend, Sam Witwicky.
I'll admit, even after two years, I still mourn his death...
I wondered what it had been of Carly, his wife, and their son. I didn't remember his name. I didn't even know his age or where he was. I just hoped that they were ok.
A gurgling sound came from behind, and I smiled seeing Razor approach and sit down next to me.
"Hey boy, how you doing?" I said, stroking his neck, "shouldn't you be in the junkyard with the others?"
He huffed and chirped, nudging my hand lightly before looking away. I sighed and leaned forward to look at his face.
"I know you don't like being cooped up there, but it's for your safety," I said, "TRF is still out there looking for us"
"And it's another reason why you shouldn't be out here on your own," a familiar voice said.
I chuckled as Razor stood up, and I turned to see Jackson riding over to us, with Snowdrift as his mount.
Snowdrift is a female Dinobot Raptor that we found after exploring the spaceship some more. She was caged away from the other Dinobots. We quickly found out that she could actually shoot deadly beams of ice that could freeze anything in an instant. Like the touch of Midas but ice instead of gold.
As for Razor's own abilities, we quickly discovered that he could camouflage and shoot fire just like Grimlock, the leader of the Dinobots.
"I just came to watch the sunrise, I doubt that's illegal," I pointed out, "besides, I'm not too far away from the junkyard, and was extra careful going out"
"Well, you've got a point before, it's still dangerous," he said, offering his hand to help me up, "you shouldn't be out here all on your own"
"Well I'm glad that I have a big strong guardian then," I chuckled, "but you're right, we should head back before any drone catches a glimpse of us"
"I'm glad I fit the job," he smirked teasingly, "yeah, let's head back before Cade or Ratchet get angry at us for leaving," he advised. "Remember last time?"
"How can I not?" Laughing, I got on Razor, "he said, 'just because you're lovebirds doesn't mean you get special privileges'," I imitated Cade's voice, or tried to, but it just turned out in a funny way that made Jackson nearly laugh his way off his saddle.
Do I like Jackson? Yes...I do. Even though impulsive at times, as well as stubborn, he has redeeming qualities. He's sweet and kind, and brave, and he never abandoned us. Even if life was as shitty as it could be, he always stood up and fought another day. I knew a human or two that would've most definitely quitted after day one of becoming fugitives.
He also liked me a lot, he said that something about me bossing the Bots around was quite attractive. Still, we weren't really a couple, per say. Sure, we were affectionate with each other, but why put labels on a relationship? It's not really the most important thing to us right now, what with being a fugitive of the law and all.
"How was hunting?" I asked as we arrived and untacked the Raptors, letting them roam around the place.
"I managed to catch a deer with Snow, we encountered a herd of Bison but I decided against hunting one because it would be too notorious," he explained, petting Snow's snout as she purred.
"Fair enough," I said, petting Razor before letting him go with Snow, "I'll change and we can hang around"
"Sounds good"
