Separation, the word is usually used to refer the moving apart motion of two things, but it is used in literature as a means of showing grief, and sorrow of not being able to meet your loved ones, which often caused by worldly circumstances. But it is one of the hardest tests of life, which is to overcome the rift that causes these kinds of things.
A few minutes had passed and she was still hugging him, without uttering a single word. At first he was conflicted whether to hug her back or not but he soon decided to do so, and he did on which she felt a little relaxed but didn't utter a single word for a while.
He continued to slowly caress the hair on the back of her head, on this the girl felt comfort and after a while decided to let go of him.
All of this happened, while not a single expression had changed on zayn's face.
"Better now?" He asked the girl but his tone was devoid of any kind of worry.
"Yes, I'm a bit better" said the girl before sniffing a bit and backing up, on which the boy saw tears in her eyes. But as before his expression remained almost unfazed.
"For you to get emotional, it's quite rare don't you think?" he said while taunting her a abit, to try to change the atmosphere of the room.
On hearing this, a little shade of red flashed across the girls ears, signaling that she was embarrassed.
She went in to hit the boy with a punch but it was slower than the ones before, meaning that she was not serious and only did it in a playful manner.
Which Ofcourse the boy dodged with little to no difficulty.
"Shut up!" She said."You don't know how lonely I've been ever since the both of you vanished, I didn't even know that you were even alive uptill now and even that I discovered on accident?"
"How could you leave me alone after all that we've been through. You know, I finally thought that it was my time to be the one to help you, that I was actually strong enough to be relied on but I guess I was wrong" she states on a dejected tone and looks down.
He then reading her emotions almost perfectly, hugged her to try and act as a means of comfort.
'Its better to tell her the truth rather than making any excuses or lying to her, atleast she deserves this' he wondered.
"Well to be perfectly honest I didn't have a choice" he stated. "They were after me and Maria so I had to take her and flee as soon as possible, and I thought that taking your only chance of a better adulthood is not something I would prefer".
"I would've been happier if you had taken me" she spoke slowly while being embraced.
His eyes widened a little due to him understanding the complexity of the current situation.
"I know it's not nearly enough, but I do indeed apologize for all the pain you went through because of me" he said to her in a lighter tone.
"If you really are sorry then don't apologise" she broke the hug and walked back a little bit.
"What do you mean by that exactly?" He stated as he was confused.
"Take responsibility"
"What?" His confusion only grew.
Suddenly she was face to face with him, she then went in for a kiss while closing her eyes.
Her lips touched something, then she opened her eyes to slowly see that there was a hand placed on her mouth which was preventing their lips from touching. She then turned her glance towards him and saw him shaking his head sidewards a bit signal a no.
"Tch, I almost got it" she stated in a dissatisfied tone then looked towards him."Why did you stop me?"
"You know fair well why" he said as his tone returned to the same emotionless state.
"Alright then, I'll have you take responsibility in another way then" she said as her eyes glistened with hope.
'Another way?' he thought. 'Surely she's not gonna say that is she?'
"From now on I'll be staying with you in this house" she seemingly proclaimed in a tone suggesting that she wasn't gonna no as an answer.
"Alright fine you can" he stated before sighing."Maria would be happy aswell to have you living with us"
"Only Maria? What about you aren't you gonna be happy aswell?"
"You know better than anyone that I can't express any emotion, the ones I can are only fake ones and I'd rather not show you fake happiness" she said .
"I know, so it's yes then?" She asked with hope in her eyes.
"Ofcourse, as long as you don't catch that much unwanted attention while living here" he complied. On hearing his answer her face quickly presented a genuine smile of happiness.
"It's a deal then, I'll be back with my stuff tomorrow then, bye for now" she as shouted as she tried to rush out of the house.
"Excuse me who are you? And what are you doing in our house?" The voice of a young girl can heard from the hallway of the house.
