Am I too lazy to describe what a soulmate fanfic is? Yes, yes I am.

(This is ridiculous. Who would agree to be in a relationship with anyone that's not their soulmate?) You stare angrily out your car window as you're driven to a wedding location.

"You'll grow wrinkles if you continue to scowl like that."

You look at your cousin slash right hand man, Jungkook who's trying not to laugh at you. "This doesn't bother you at all? Marrying someone that isn't your soulmate. I would never do that. If I'm saying 'I love you with my entire being' it will be to my soulmate." You go back to looking out the window.

"You know it's just to take charge of the families right?"

"That's another thing I find bizarre. Why do we have to have our soulmates in order to become the heads of our families? I never understood that requirement."

Jungkook crosses his arms and slouches a little bit in his seat. "Maybe to stay calm or something. You saw how stressed out your father got while working." He closes his eyes and begins to quietly hum.

You think about your parents for the first time in a few years. You remember the time you asked your mother what it was like when her and your father first met. She said there was this feeling in her chest and it frightened her at first. That feeling got stronger when she walked in a certain direction. She followed and saw a man clutching his heart. "Our eyes met and our marks glowed like the sun." She said with a smile. "I fell in love at that moment and wanted nothing more than to stay by your fathers side. Even though we only met once before when we were children."

(Will I feel the same way?)

You and Jungkook arrive at the mansion. "I'm ready to get this over with." You say as you both exit the vehicle.

"Oh come on, look at the bright side." Jungkook says optimistically. "Free food and alcohol, plus no work. Lets enjoy this mini vacation."

"I'll try, but no promises."

A house maid comes and leads you two to your rooms. You were told by another maid that the meeting will start in an hour and that she'll come get you when it's time.

After putting your things away, you sit in the window and look down into the backyard. They're setting up everything for the day after tomorrow. What they've done so far is beautiful but it still makes you angry. (A ceremony like this should be for soulmates that found each other. Not this.) You walk away and get Jungkook to walk with you as you look around the mansion.

"Not much has changed around here." Jungkook says as he looks at the walls and ceiling. "Still ugly."

"It's not that bad, if you were born in the 1950's. You know what would look good?" You turn your head to him.

"Dark shades of gray." He smiles down at you.

"Absolutely! With some hints of silver in the right places."

"Yes!" You both laugh. "We gotta convince Grandpa to let us redecorate when we get back." You were about to agree but your chest suddenly started to tighten. You clutch your heart and almost fall to the floor. Jungkook was quick and made sure you didn't. "What's wrong?"

"I don't know. M-my chest... it hurts but not really." You take deep breaths and lean on Jungkook for support.

Jungkook looks around and spots a maid. "Hey, where's the nearest restroom?" The maid quickly leads you to one. As you walk, that feeling in your chest gets weaker. "Stay here, I'm gonna go find a doctor." You nod and sit on the toilet.
