Chapter 3 - you did it

You had gotten changed and made your way back to the hammock this was different you never had felt this emotion maybe once or twice with your "adoptive mother" but you felt happiness inside warm and bubbly.

You had gotten to the hammock all eye on you,you were stunning neteyam couldn't stop looking at you but did because his brother almost noticed.

"You look,beautiful" Neytiri smiled.

"Well y/n today neteyam will help you hunt go with him and take this" he held out your bow and arrow and also,your songcord.

You took them both away from him and tied toe songcord to the bottom half of your clothes.

"Follow neteyam" Jake said and you felt following behind neteyam.

You both walked in silence you behind neteyam,he stopped by a small river.

"So your gonna learn how to hunt obviously,your gonna stand" he Carried on explaining and with your bow and arrow you shot the fish at its tail.

You grabbed it.

"Well done,but let's try again" neteyam took the fish and arrow from you and out the fish in the water.

You stood how he told you but how you were holding the bow and arrow wasn't right,neteyam came infornt of yuyyou he put your elbows up and pointed the bow and arrow down you looked at him and then looked away,he moved away because he knew you felt uncomfortable.

"I'm sorry for being so close I just wanted to-"
You shot the fish and it went right threw it not it's tail but it's body.

"You did it!" Neteyam smiled taking it out.

"Looks like well have fish to eat tonight" neteyam smiled.

later on you and neteyam sat down by the lake just talking really,"if you don't mind me asking,what was it like with the human people" your knees came up to your chest and you hugged your legs.

"sometimes bad sometimes good" neteyam looked at you.

"What is life out here?" You asked.

"It's nice especially at night everything is so beautiful at night" you looked up to the sky

"Will you show me-" you both heard something.

"Tuk Lo'ak get out here" they both got out here.

"Why we're you spying on us?" Neteyam asked.

"We didn't have anything to do and mom and dad have gone to the battlefield" you looked confused neteyam told them to shut up but no with words.

"Battlefield? Is the sky people still attacking?" They were kinda shocked you knew this.

Neteyam sighed,"yes,yes it is"

"Teach me how to ride an ikran what do I need to do?"

"Why don't we start with a direhorse?" You shook your head.

"Just tell me what is need to ride one"

"Well uh on one of those mountains there are ikrans it must choose you and you must choose it"

"How will I know if it picks me?"

"It will try and kill you,that's when you tie its mouth shut remember tie its mouth shut make the connection with it"

"I'll show you tomorrow" Lo'ak said you nodded.

This was the first time you had talked for a long period of time you wanted to help stop this battle.

It had once again became night everyone was eating yet you had refused to it multiple times you were still gaining there trust you were scared but not entirely scared anymore.

"You really did hunt a big fish y/n are you sure you dont-"

"When can u learn to fly an ikran I am 14 and I don't know how to yet" Neytiri and Jake looked at eachother.

"Once we feel like your ready,tomorrow you'll learn to ride a direhorse then I'll show you how to fly an ikran and I won't show you again okay?" You nodded.

"When the time is right you'll learn" Neytiri said and you nodded.

Kiri came up to you as a woodsprite landed on your head.

"Come,I'll show you the forest beauty" kiri held your hand,you didn't flinch you didn't move you felt calm.

She and you went out to the hammock and walked around looking at the forest beauty,every animal every tree and everything was so beautiful you wished to see more.
