Gosh, what a shame! A time skip? Don't worry, nothing happened.
Well, something did happen, but you know what, didn't.
It's Maddie's house for starsake.
You can complain if you choose to, I wouldn't blame you. But let's carry on, hm?

The days waiting for a certain someone to return, went by fairly fast.
Besides, you weren't working your job on those days, and you were mainly chilling around doing nothing.

You did call a few other numbers, and none of them responded. It left you stuck with your thoughts of that one call. . . 'I'm gonna need to remember to call that number again.' You sat at the table, staring at an open notebook. It had empty pages.
You had a red pen in hand, in which you were continously clicking. Trying to get your gears turning.

"Y/n. . ." You heard Sun call out. Sounding almost strained.
You turned towards him, furrowing your eyebrows slightly, at his uncomfortable demeanor.
"Did. . . Something happen?"

"Mhmmm. . . Remember- the upgrade Maddie gave us? Moon-he tried splitting with me, and it started glitching. ."

"Oh." You took in a deep breath. "Which. . . One? I'm sorry, she gave you quite guys a few of those."
Sun stared at you for a second. "Well. . . The one I-we didn't want to tell you. You kn-know! Splitting..?"

You blinked. Before immediately standing up. "Oh. OH! SHIT- Are you guys okay?!" You were about to reach out and grab one of Sun's arms.
However, he jumped back a few feet. And yelped, "WAIT- DONT TOUCH ME!"

A silence hung over the house for a second. After, a second too long, you gave Sun a questioning glare, the same glare that you give a person that's obviously bullshitting you, and your convincing them to rephrase or define their sentence, or action, all through eye-contact.
"I don't-DON'T mean it like that! When we glitched, we got a few. . . issues, with our systems."

You furrowed your eyebrows. "Uh-oh. What happened-?"
"Our Sensory system is definitely messed up. I'm fine-right now, but when I touch anything, I feel a sharp pain- Oh. Moons bli-blind now. And I, have-keep having, Speech funtion-" He stopped talking for a second. "-errors."

You stated at him for a few seconds. "I can tell. Moons blind? I don't think I can fix up the sensor junk. . . Pretty sure Maddie worked on lots of that through code. We may have to wait till' she gets back."
"I CAN'T wait that LONG!"
You frowned. "Sorry Sunny. I can't do anything. I could try, but I don't wanna make anything worse."
"I know. . Its just-" He stopped himself from talking.

"Is Moon like that? Or is he just blind?"
"He is. . . Not as bad. Nowhere near!"
"Oh. Uhm. . . I'm so sorry Sun. But maybe we should turn the lights off until we can fix you guys. Even if he can't see, I don't want you in pain 24/7. ." You cringed slightly saying this; you've been trying to get an even amount of time between them, but it's been getting harder to do.

"I guess." He sounded pretty disappointed. "-if Maddie doesn't come back today, being-staying in for over a-an entire day will absolutely suck."
"So. . .Have you tried splitting again?"
"No-We haven't. When we no-noticed something was wrong, we decided to just stay as one," He paused. "-animatronic."

You didn't want to take a chance that It'll make things worse. But at the same time. . . "Could you try?"
"S-sure! But- Y/n- you-"
"Oh! Rightt!" You covered your eyes with a hand. "I'm not looking."
A small pause, then, "Thank you."

When you heard Sun speaking again, you assumed it was safe to look again.
"Actually! It doesn't hurt any-anymore!"
"Sounds like your still stuttering though. . ." You smiled.

THUD!
"DAMNIT."
Moon tripped. Sun helped Moon up.
"Haha! L-Look how the tables- have turned! I remember-" Then you both saw his face.

You and Sun made quick eye-contact. Before enthrallment made you both switch to staring at him instead.
"What? What happened? Why are you guys so quiet?"
Sun simply responded with an, "Oh."

You let out a heavy breath. "I'm so confused."
Sun tilted his head. "It doesn't- it does not look that bad. It kind—kinda matches."
You exhaled a small chuckle. "You calling him emo Sun?"
Sun let go of Moon, and his smile stretched a bit. "Good question."
"No, what the HELL are you talking about?!" Moon almost yelled.

His voice having more rasp than normal. Sounded embarrassed.
"Don't worry about i—it!"
You, nor Sun could seem to look away from him. It was just. . . So interesting.

His eyes were black. Like they were painted with glossy ink. The reflection of light, was red. Seemed unnatural. Giving the ceiling lights were white.
Right under his eyes, his faceplate seemed to be painted a redish-gray. Like a neverending blush.
Where his pupils would be, it was painted a dark gray. Almost hard to make out. It showed where he would be looking, if he could see.

You smiled. "It's just. . . So interesting. Yaknow, I thought if he would ever go blind, his eyes would look more like yours, Sun."
Sun turned his attention back on you. "Yeah, that—that's what I thought."

"God, I hate you. The both of you." Moon hissed.
"Mmmnn, no you don't. You loovvveee us~!" You teased.
"Fuck no. That was so 2040. It's 2041 now, new year, new me."
The doorbell rang.

Sun gasped overdramatically. "Please tell me that's M—Maddie!"
"Sorry to burst your bubble, but it probably isn't. She has keys, she wouldn't ring the doorbell. . ."
"So what? She's not arriving today like she said she would?" Moon scoffed. Obviously annoyed.
"Guess not." Sun sighed, disappointed.

"Stay here, I'm gonna check!"

There wasn't a person behind the door. Just the sound of someone driving away.

There was a box. A box, in a paper bag. It was around the size of a shoe box.

It had a letter taped onto the bag handles.
You went back inside, and placed the bag onto a coffee table.
"What is it?" Moon asked, sounding calmer than you expected.
"It's. . . A box. With a note."

Silence filled the air, before Sun requested you to read it.
"Uh. . . Yeah. Sure.-" You opened the letter, staring at the small writing for a second, before reading it off. "-Before I say anything risky, I want to warn you quickly. Keep this a secret.
Don't tell your best friend, no matter what you trust her with.
I can't keep your safety garenteed if you do.
Of course, you can tell the robots. You know which ones I'm talking about, I bet you're reading this. . .to them. . . Right now." You slowly stopped reading.

You made eye-contact with Sun, and you both exchanged worried looks, before your eyes darted back into the paper, and you read more.
"-if you open the box, be sure to do it downstairs. In the basement. If you aren't inside Maddie's room, nothing will make sense.
Things are going to change. And I need you all to be prepared for it.
I was assigned to clean out Maddie's office. I found rather. . . Questionable things.
And I know you needed to know about this too.
Don't wait too long to open the box, just don't let ANY ONE else except for the three of you to see it.

Ps, don't make it obvious when you find out, ask no questions out of place. They'll notice."
