[03] IS IT WORTH SAVING?
she runs her fingers through her tangled mass of black hair
and blows smoke at the sky as if she's mocking it,
she lies back against the grass and starts talking venomously
of destruction and interstellar trips
far away from the earth.
is it worth saving?
this world where a boy has to love a girl
and a girl has to love a boy,
and if you don't, they say it's not love
and it's just a sickness.
is it worth saving?
this world where you hold one's hand
and kiss their best friend
and you're suddenly the cool kid
because you messed with
two girls.
is it worth saving?
this world where your body isn't yours,
it's everyone's but yours;
and you skip your meals just because
that person is slimmer and has a better figure.
you skip, skip, skip, skip, skip, cry,
skip, skip, skip, die.
is it worth saving?
this world where we slaughter
each other everyday as if our lives
depend on it. we drop a bomb
and end a million lives.
we separate mothers,
fathers, husbands and wives.
is it worth saving?
this world where this one book
governs everything.
we are worshiping an idea at best,
this book doesn't explain everything and
you cannot live by it.
those that died because of this book and it's rules
still go to heaven because there is no place else to go.
hell is earth.
-IS IT WORTH SAVING?
(the author wrote this because the world has too many things that need to be corrected.)
