"Watch it! No, bigger! Come on, we don't have all day! It's not time for a lunch break." Lloyd shouted as I was munching on some food that was totally stolen but hey it was good. I get a lunch break because I'm special. I felt weird again but it started to be a numb weird. It didn't bother me as much and I could eat happily. Lloyd made sure we got extra so I could eat more which was nice. Lloyd was the coolest, my best friend ever. Sure Brad and Gene from school were cool but Lloyd, Lloyd always has been more caring to me. Like something between us just, clicked.  I soon finished and went up the treehouse. I coughed as I went towards Lloyd. " Hey dude!" I smiled as he smiled too, " Hey (Y/n)! Wondering when you'd be done" He chuckled. " So, hows it coming along?" "It's almost finished! Soon, our fortress will be complete." Lloyd looked at a serptent. " You! Hold up that sign for me!" The serpent did and the sign said no girls or ninja. " Really?" " What, girls are gross and ninja suck!" " I guess" I shrugged.

"Booby trap!" Lloyd pulled a lever and the serpent fell into a trap. " wasn't the best trap" I said before screeching as the treehouse tilted and then onto one side. I fell into Lloyd who squirmed in panic, arms failing. "I said no ninja! Attack!" Lloyd shouted seeing the oddly bright ninja. BUt instead, the Serpentes retreated. " Lloyd Lloyd were gonna fall!" I screamed. "Don't go. We have to protect my treehouse fortress." Lloyd shouted at the snakes. " AND US!" I kicked him. "Your treehouse? It's about time we did this!" Skales pulled a lever and the both of us got stuck in a cage. " I'm gonna puke-" I whined as Lloyd scooted away. I heard a pretty melody right before it all fell down. 

We were pulled by a rope with the serpents after stealing the staff back. I was bing dragged as my leg hurt worse now. Lloyd seemed fine but I was failing. " Do something, General. You're still under my command, right?" Lloyd muttered as he reached back and held my hand. " Enough! I am the General! You will return my staff at once!" Slithraa shouted. "no" Skales said sassily. "You dare challenge my command?!" Slithraa glared as slither pit was chanted. " I guess we'll have to fight for it... in the Slither Pit!" Skales challenged as others cheered. " wtf is a slither pit" I groaned as the ice was nice against my leg. I sat down as Lloyd and I were tied to a rock. "Winner gets the staff and leads the tribe! You know the rules. There are none, but in the Slither Pit, whatever I say goes. Alright, fight!" A serpent shouted.

Lloyd looked bored almost before spotting a map. He reached for it and pulled me to get closer. He eventually got it and chanted for the old general. Soon enough, Slithraa was down for the count and Skales won. He gained a tail and new markings as Slithraa lost his tail and changed markings. "You! Leave and never return!" Skales hissed at us as we were thrown out. Lloyd gave me a piggyback ride as we left so I didn't have to walk. " Youre heavy" " Lloyd I weight as much if not less than you."

I continued to ride on Lloyds back as he followed the map. I shut my eyes as my leg still throbbed. " Lloyd." " Yeah?" He looked back at me. " Thanks, you're the best friend anyone could have" I smiled. He did too, " Yeah, you too." He smiled as put more pep in his step. I smiled as he walked faster. I opened my eyes and put my head on his shoulder. The sun was nearing its closure but wasn't quite sunset. " How long have you been walking?" " No clue" He readjusted me on his back.

Soon enough Lloyd needed a break. He set me down and I opened up the bag I had. It had a change of clothes for each of us just in case, some water, money, and comics. It also had the food we stole. We split a sandwich as it was smarter to have more food than a complete full stomach. We both ate in silence. " So um, what are we doing next?" " Well, we should unleash the fangpyre! Snakes hate other snakes!" He smiled. I took a sip of water. " Lloyd, we just got thrown out by snakes" " That was a one-time thing!" He waved off my words. " Its gonna be fine" He reassured me. I finished my sandwich in worry.

We packed up and Lloyd picked me up yet again. He walked miles with me on his back. " Youre strong." " its nothing really!" He smiled as we came across a ship, with light, the smell of pie, the happy laughing of ninja. " Its like a family with them huh" I frowned. " Yeah" Lloyd sniffled, he longed for his parents, his dad mostly. " (Y/n), what were your parents like?" He asked as he turned away. " Uh, busy. Both of them worked a lot and I was mostly taken care of by a maid who always complained that I would eat, say I enjoyed my food, then stop by saying I don't feel good. It drove her and my mother crazy when it was time to eat." I recalled.

" I don't remember what they look like, they got busier and busier and that's why they set me to the boarding school. I heard them say it was because they didn't want me to feel lonely since they couldn't spend the time they wanted with me." I pouted. Lloyd pat my hands, " But that just means you'll see them soon" He smiled. " Youll have your family!" " And you till too, one day Lloyd" I smiled as we shared a smile. " I have the family I need right now. You."
