Is There Ever a Way Out?

Chapter 19

When I woke up, I saw that I was in a white room. It was empty at the moment. I saw that I also seemed to be on a platform like space. It didn't look like there were any railings to where I was, so I started to run towards the edge in an escape attempt. However, I didn't realize that there was a glass wall until it was too late. I went face first into the glass, and fell backwards from the impact force.

I shook my head as I got up, recovering from the collision. The door then opened, and a few scientist-looking guys came in, and sat down at some desks and tyed blankly. Welp, this sucks. I started to walk around the small platform I was on, seeing if there was any way out. I noticed a vent on the ground, and started to fidget with it. However, to my disliking, it was welded to the floor. There goes plan B.

I just sat there, hopeless. I'm probably going to get my mind wiped again or whatever, or something else. God knows what the hell is going to happen if I stay here. After about 10 minutes, which felt like hours, I heard something like a sawing noise from the ceiling. When I looked up, I saw that something was making a hole in the ceiling right outside of the platform.

A moment or two later a circular shaped piece of concrete fell, and Bucks was on top of it! The scientists seemed to all panic, and just ran out of the room frantically. ' Well, that was easier than expected. ' said Bucks. I came up to the glass, and put more forepaws on it. I did a slight yelp to get Bucks's attention.

He sighed and said, ' Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you. ' He came up to the glass and broke it. As he did so three people came in, and they looked identical facial wise. They were all wearing some kind of armor that was some variation of a yellow base with black splotches. I jumped down from the platform, and got behind Bucks a bit. I had my head and front part of my torso poked out of one side of him.

I growled at them, and stayed in a slightly tense stance as one of them spoke, ' Ah, you're here. Wasn't expecting for us all to meet like this here, with you stealing what is rightfully mine. ' said the Middle one. Bucks responded with, ' Wwii theoretically I'm taking back what you stole from her, which is a decent life. Return her to somewhat of what she had before you crushed that with your weird, evil shenanigans. ' Well at least when we took control she didn't remember all of that pain in her " normal life ". She wouldn't know about losing a friend, or almost being abused by the humans as a weapon to show power over other nations. ' said the person on the right.

What? I was abducted before? I shook the idea from my head, since it was just propaganda he was trying to put in my head. ' Guys? ' said the person on the left. ' Can't we just settle this over some food or something? We don't have to get gnarly about it– ' ' Shut up George! ' shouted the person on the right to them. ' Be serious for once! ' ' Oh shut up you, you couldn't be serious yesterday for more than a millisecond! ' This angered the right one and they shouted, ' Oh, well? At least I didn't get drunk on bad jokes last week Kaodorah! '

They then all started shouting at each other, and me and Bucks just kinda slipped by them unnoticed. We got that going for us then. We then quickly got out of the facility, which was easier than we expected, because the halls were empty. When we got outside, it was chaotic. You could see Morigon troopers coming in mass quantities, and they were already landing weapons on the beach. There was also another group coming to the island.

It was a smaller groups, but they had a lot of American-based weapons. They were farther at the moment, and looked like they weren't moving, so that was good I guess? Bucks said that I was looking at the group in the distance curiously, and said, ' Those guys are on our side. They're American Bucks's people. ' I nodded. I think I've heard them talk about them, but I'm not too sure.

We went to a part of the beach where no one was. Bucks pulled out what looked like a kit, and opened it. Out of it unfolded what looked like a portable lab? Not what I expected. He started doing some of that weird lab stuff, so I decided to keep watch for anyone who might be coming. About 5 minutes later, Bucks said, ' Alright, I should be done in a few minutes. In case you're wondering, I'm trying to make something to reverse the effects of whatever drug Kaodorah put on you. '

I nodded, and returned to watching out for anyone. A minute later Bucks said that he was just about to be finished. However, his sentence was cut off by a loud " thump! ". The sound came from the beach, and I quickly went through some bushes and shrubs before reaching the treeline. What, or who, I saw was none other than Sharax.
