Everything was blurry when you opened your eyes, once your vision clears up, you were standing in front of the same firehouse from the mirror portal earlier with Lapis. You see an old man in a police uniform approaching you and Lapis, he seems to be solemn and distant. "Hello, are you two new citizens of Griffin Rock?" He asked you two "Yes, Officer" Lapis said as the policeman was about to ask you two something else, a Man in a fire fighter suit comes running outside "Dad, we got an emergency!" he said to the policeman as the alarm in the firehouse goes off. the policeman turns to you and Lapis and asks you to go inside the firehouse while they go on a rescue mission, You both nod and head inside the fire house. you hear the sound of vehicles moving out of it, "Hello!" a voice called out, making you jump a little. Lapis turns to see a young blonde boy in a jacket, "Woah! Who are you?!" You said in shock. "I'm Cody Burns, Youngest in the Burns Family" he said, pointing at himself. "You're new around town?" You both nodded, "Well, you can meet my dad later, he's still going on his rescue mission!" Cody said to you two, "Alright then" You replied 'We should probably keep an eye on things out here though...' you thought. The both of you went into the big area, looking around it a little.
It has been two hours and you decided to wait against a wall when the door bursts open with the vehicles coming in, The Burns exits the vehicles and The Vehicles transformed into robots. You back away in fear and the Bots look at you, they seem to have teal tint plastered across their faceplates. Lapis stares at them as the policeman clear his throat, "I am Charlie Burns, and this is my family, Kade, Graham, Danii, And Cody Burns" He points at each person as he says their name, but you didn't pay attention until he said your name "And you are?" He turned to you "Oh uhm, I'm..." you paused and think for a moment "...I'm (Y/N)" You introduced yourself politely. Danii smiles at you, "Nice to meet you." You smiled at her too. "And these Bots?" You asked, gesturing to all of the bots. "They're our friends" Charlie said "H-Hi, I'm Blades..." One of the bots said, "The names Heatwave..., These other two are Chase and Boulder" another said, looking away while blushing more. "and what is your name, masked human?" Chase asked, turning to Lapis. "Just call me Lapis.." Lapis said, crossing their arms. "Lapis' a beautiful name, it really suits you" Boulder added "Thanks" Lapis mumbled a small smile forming on their mouth. You smiled at how kind the bots sounds, "Come on you two, I'll show you both where you will be staying for tonight until we can find you a better place..." Charlie said, leading the two of you to an elevator. the elevator door closes but Lapis was quick enough to notice....A death stare at Charlie from the bots, Lapis was a bit solemn about it but decided to not tell you as to not scare you or anything. The Elevator door opens and Charlie guides you both to two guest rooms, "Here you can stay, take it or leave it" Charlie said "Thank you" You said, looking at him before going into one of the rooms. You laid down on the bed, you were exhausted so you took a little nap...... Not Even noticing the eyes that were watching you....
