The group discussed the mission to Mandalore. After a while Obi-Wan and the three Mandalorians left, leaving Anakin and Ahsoka alone alone to catch up. Anakin said: "I'm so glad to see you." Ahsoka said: "as am I. I was hoping you would come with me on this mission. But I have a feeling that won't happen." They walked out and down to the Hangar Bay where Rex and the clones were waiting. As they walked, clones saluted Ahsoka. They walked into the Hangar Bay where Rex and the clones waited. Rex gave the order for attention. The clones snapped to attention. Anakin explained about the clones. Then Rex handed a box to Anakin. Anakin held the box out to Ahsoka. Ahsoka went to open the box when the alarms went off and Obi-Wan came running in. He ordered Rex to round up his men. He explained that Coruscant was under attack and that the Chancellor had been kidnapped. Ahsoka said: "so this is it? You're just going to abandon Bo-Katan and her people?" Then an argument ensued between Ahsoka and Obi-Wan. Anakin looked between his former Padawan and his former Master and debated who needed him more. He came to the conclusion that Ahsoka needed him more. Anakin looked at Obi-Wan and said: "Obi-Wan, you'll have to rescue the Chancellor without me. Ahsoka needs me more. And I'm going to help her with the mission to Mandalore. Between Ahsoka and I, we can capture Maul relatively quickly." Obi-Wan was surprised to say the least. He said: "Anakin, be reasonable. The Chancellor needs us." Anakin said firmly: "no. The Force is telling me to go with Ahsoka. You're always telling me to trust the Force. Well, this is me trusting the Force. The Force is telling me to go with Ahsoka. And I'm going to do it. You'll have to rescue the Chancellor without me. May the Force be with you, Obi-Wan." Then Obi-Wan turned around and walked out. Anakin turned to face Ahsoka and said: "I meant what I said. We'll do this mission together. I thought about what you said and I knew that I had to help you. That and the Force was telling me to help you." Ahsoka said: "thank you, Anakin. I'm glad that you're coming with me on this mission. We always did make a good team. Who knows? Maybe after this mission is over, I might end up returning to the Order." Anakin said: "Here. You'll need these." Ahsoka opened the box and removed two lightsabers. Anakin said: "I took care of your old lightsabers. They're good as new." Ahsoka ignited her lightsabers. The blades were blue. Anakin smirked and said: "maybe a bit better." Ahsoka deactivated her lightsabers and clipped them to her utility belt. Then Bo-Katan and the two other Mandalorians came in. Ahsoka walked over and said: "Anakin is coming with us. Now, let's go." While Ahsoka was speaking to Bo-Katan, Anakin rounded up the 501st clones. Then they boarded two gunships and fired up the two gunships and closed the doors and lifted off and flew out of the Hangar Bay and set course for Mandalore and made the jump to hyperspace. Anakin and Ahsoka and Bo-Katan and the two other Mandalorians were on one gunship while Rex and the rest of the 501st clones were on the other gunship. Anakin and Ahsoka made their way to the back of the gunship and sat down. Ahsoka said: "thank you again. I've missed you a lot." Anakin said: "you're welcome, Snips. I don't regret saying no to Obi-Wan. I love you." Ahsoka smiled fondly at her old nickname then turned serious and said: "what about Padme?" Anakin said: "Padme and I divorced months ago. We weren't working." Ahsoka said: "in that case, I love you too. Oh kriff it all. Ya know what? I'm returning to the Order." Anakin said: "I'm glad to hear that." Ahsoka leaned against Anakin. Anakin wrapped his arms around Ahsoka. Ahsoka snuggled up close to Anakin. Anakin wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly close to him.
