Milo sat in the dark of their room, listening to music as the rain poured outside. 'Will the rain ever stop?' they thought, and sighed. Their music was interrupted by a notification. They sighed and checked the notification, instantly smiling. They clicked on the notification. "Hey, can I come over later? I have something I gotta tell you." The message read, and Milo responded almost immediately. "Of course" They texted back. "Okay, be there in abouttt, 15 minutes." Jay said, and went offline. "Ok, see you then." Milo replied, and went offline.
~ Time Skip ~
Jay knocked on the door. A few seconds later, Milo opened the door. "Hey, come on in, it's cold outside." Milo said, stepping out of the way and letting Jay walk in. "Soooo, what'd you wanna talk about?" They asked. "You'll never believe this, buttt, I got a girlfriend!!" Jay said happily. Milo's face faltered, but they forced a smile. "Really? That's awesome dude!" They said. "I know. She's really pretty, and super nice and funny. She's the girl of my dreams." Jay said, and sighed happily. 'I should've known...' Milo thought. "When can I meet the lucky girl?" They asked, going back to forcing the smile. "Tomorrow, if you'd like." Jay responded, to happy to notice the forced smile. "Sounds good to me! Now, if you don't mind, I have to get back to homework, so bye bye." They said quickly, and led Jay outside. They waited till his car pulled out of their driveway, then collapsed onto the floor, and began to cry. 'Why did I think he loved me.. I should've fucking known..' they thought, and cried themself to sleep. Fuzzball, Milo's cat, curled up next to Milo, purring.
