"darling" the blonde drags out as she enters the living room causing you to sit you up and divert your attention from the office playing on tv to your wife. you knew by her tone that she was either going to ask for something or just wanted some affection, both of which you'd probably answer with a yes

taking her time she rounds the coffee table, knowing that you're following her every move with your eyes "what is it, love" you ask as you take a look at the time on the clock in front of you, it read 11:52pm

"are you going to be my new years kiss?" the pout on her lips as she looks down at you had you melting but you still decided to mess with her a little

"i don't know, flo..." holding her waist you pull her a little closer as her pout turns into that famous frown of hers "i promised billie a kiss" with that she huffs because for a spilt second that actually thought you didn't want to kiss her for new years, never mind the two of you being married

billie's snores can be heard from her dog bed in the corner of the room

"but i don't think she'll mind" florence checked the time and with there only been five minutes left she straddled you on the sofa, her arms resting on your shoulders and you held her frame closer to you

"so i get the kiss?" you hum in response and rest your head on her shoulder

"you get the kiss"

"two..." you bring your hands up to her face and hold her cheeks, her hands playing with the baby hairs on the back of your neck

even after being married for two years you still get that giddy feeling whenever you get the kiss the actress who has you practically wrapped around her finger

"one" literal fireworks sound as her lips met yours
